The cost of corporate is extortionate now.

It is extortionate. We were considering hospitality for the Hartlepool match but not at those prices. I know they reduced prices for the Oldham match but then again it was a brunch. I'll also know a number of sponsors were not happy that the prices were reduced when they had paid full price.

What price do people think is sensible for hospitality, how do our prices compare to other teams, this would be useful to know and collated and presented to the fans forum

They probably reduced the price knowing they wouldn't get a full 90 minutes.

I think the numbers must be low this season. Middle of the west stand always looks half empty and they’ve been offering discount for games already (Oldham?) so suggests that the price hikes have impacted numbers. They were advertising last min hospitality for Dagenham game as well last week and when I clicked on it was 70+ spaces available which I assume is a decent % of capacity

Some system then. What do they do when folk move STs for specific games then? I move mine a few times a season when family go as they don’t like sitting in the Kop. Does my seat just stay empty then?! Strange

From what they told me yes
We moved a few time during covid to sit where less busy E2/3 and our seats ( back row ) near halfway line so great seats always empty

If it’s £70 so after you’ve taken the cost of a match ticket at £20 give or take your getting charged £50 for a good quality 3 course meal! About going rate anywhere if you go out for food nowadays. How’s that extortionate??

The padded seats sell individually from £35-£52 so dearer than the £20 seats

For many years, regardless of the attendance figures, corperate was usually full, with only the odd game having space available.

Currently our gates are at a seemingly all time high and corperate seems to have gone the other way.

Several reasons i suspect, mainly the novelty has worn off, most of us have done it and its ok, but is the match day experience greatly enhanced bt a padded seat and a three course lunch?

By the law of supply and demand it would appear too expensive? thats not to say it is.

Get your facts right. No reduction of £20 of match tickets. Just 5% reduction.

Or if you read it correctly…. He’s saying £70 for the package, of which there’s a notional value to the seat leaving the residue as the value of the meal ie £50. More likely £40 as padded seats are more expensive.

Nevertheless the 5% discount is very poor in my eyes.

But if you've already bought a ST, at a price of say 18quid a game, you've initially spent 88 quid, ... with 5% coming off the hospitality price .. bout 84 quid.. ish..
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+

You’re right, but within that £84 spent is a match ticket in a padded seat that would normally cost £35 per seat. So £49 for a three course meal isn’t as bad as it seems at first look.
Although, I agree that if it’s not getting booked up each week then we need to reconsider why that may be, and what can be done to attract more. I’m sure the board are monitoring it closely.

I think word must have got out that you , with your cheery disposition and positivity, we’re considering going in there and that’s the reason the bookings are down. Nobody wants to take the risk.

Would it? How do you get a seat without a package?

You're welcome at mine any day of the week if you're happy to pay £49 for a bog standard 3 course meal. I'll even let you watch SKY TV for a couple of hours after lunch to give you the total experience at no extra charge

I’m not sure, but Benno Spire mentions above that they sell between £35-£52 individually, so I took £35 as the minimum.

Haha put me down for this weekend and we’ll make a day of it 😂

In all seriousness though, they do seem around £10 too expensive on the face of it but I’m sure the board will be monitoring and will adjust should it require.

very good Ernie.

The other point I would make is the meal is very bog standard. I have has better meals at other sporting corporate events/venues.

Because it isn't a good quality three course meal.

If you read the comments from Valemadness you’ll see the next steps for concourse food.
