Rock n roll circus last night in sheff, missed the early acts due to work, but Happy Mondays were great, how bez keeps going like he does ( only a yr older than me) I don't know, wish I had his energy...

Noel Gallagher did what Noel does, basically just stands there and belts out his music, his voice tho is bang on, sounded brilliant, and to be down the front and get as close as you could was great,... must pee him off a bit tho... Liam does knebworth and 80k fans for 2 nights.. he does a circus tent tour with 10k...
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+

Over the last week I have gone through a good many rock albums by some very good bands. Then I played my Led Zeppelin collection. Without Zeppelin it is unlikely any of the bands I had listened would even have existed. They took the world by storm for 12 years until Bonham's sudden death in 1980. They changed music for and IMHO the greatest rock band ever. I am glad that saw them. Just to see Plant and Page on the same stage was one of the highlights of my concert days. There has never been a rock band to match them IMO of course.

Sorry I disagree, Led zeppelin are up there with the Beatles as the most over hyped band in music history!

Weirdly, I have recently downloaded a load of ELO and I'm loving it. My next download spree will be Status Quo.

Don't know why these two bands are entertaining me at the moment, maybe a bit of nostalga, I have no idea but it takes all sorts I suppose.

A New World Record by ELO. First record I ever had. Great band. Still stands up well.

From the man who loves the band that gave us Jazz, Hot Space and Flash and numerous mediocre albums. Everyone to their own I suppose.

Big Queen fan in the 80s onwards. They always seemed to have some C**p track on every album. Delilah on Innuendo; Man on the Prowl on The Works etc etc Collected all the earlier albums and I think the same. Probably because there was 4 writers with egos to indulge.

Flash as a standalone track is ok; Hot Space I actually quite like some!

Favourite Queen album? Greatest Hits!

I go for more miserable music these days though 😂

I've got the Out Of The Blue & Discovery albums, plus some cherry picked singles! Love ELO.

We’ve done this 😂

Tempted for some PMC speakers but they’re behemoths. Autumn/Winter becomes my retreat to the front room and listen with a glass of.

I’ve not been to the record shop on Sheffield Rd. Any thoughts anyone?

The new Stones single is pretty good. Better than a band of their age should be that's for sure.

Is there another band of their age left? Dinosaurs lived less time!

Sea of Mirrors by The Coral is lovely. One of the best bands of the last 20 years and little known to the average man or woman in the street.
