There really is no wonder this forum gets laughed at.

They literally saved the club.

Yes they've made a few mistakes, but who hasn't?

Dont/can't the scouts keep a profile of how managers set up and play and keep a short list of potential replacements when cook does eventually leave? (I don't think cook will ever get sacked btw) but scout reports in this area could be very useful down the line. Dont Southampton do this?
Here we go again!

The Trust are literally a re-incarnation of the CFSS.

And had to do similar job in terms of saving CFC.

But like the CFSS they made mistakes. They too looked like amatuers at times.

So again like the CFSS they need professional help.

That said Town have one of the best stadiums, set ups, fanbases and managers below the Championship.

In fact we're a million miles from the on-it's-ass outfit left by Carson and Co...

Since Elon broke Twitter yesterday the rumours are much harder to come by, but it means breaking news is met with a ‘rate limit exceeded’ message.

Was just about to post - Literally wont know anything anymore through twitter. Not been able to refresh since yesterday so even if we announced something no one would know. Pretty annoying as I love looking at all the football chatter and other peoples signings, thoughts, opinions etc

Didn’t they appoint James Rowe? Without doing due diligence on his past?

Will it stop the tweet coming up as a notification?

No if you follow an account you get a notification, you just can’t see the tweet.

You might be able to see the tweet if you’ve not exceeded your allocation for the day.

Seems Elon’s talk of preventing data scraping etc as the reason for it all isn’t true….he’s not wanting to pay google for cloud server use and because he hacked the workforce to pieces they haven’t been able to migrate stuff back in house in time before the contract expired. Now there isn’t enough server space for Twitter to operate without cutting usage for people.

They were well aware of the incident at West Ham. There was nothing else that came out. That I recall. Gloucester said nothing, at the time. Which is what employers havev to do nowadays. Nothing formal was ever taken against him, by Gloucester.

For all James Rowes faults, for which there were many, he was however the catalyst for a change in quality of football on the pitch. There was no doubting he had the potential to be a good tactical person but his other traits have now superseded this. Paul Cook appointed by the Trust is now hopefully taking us that bit further. I am sure nearly 100% of the fan base are happy to see the Trust in charge rather than the previous owners. The Trust may make some mistakes but I would like to think they have the best interests of the club at heart and the Trust taking over has seen an upward trajectory for which I am very pleased to see. Unfortunately there are some on this board who are very quick to jump on any mistake made and look for scapegoats. Im pleased we still have a club as losing the club was a real possibility with the last owners. Hopefully the Kirk brothers will bring more experience to help continue the upward trajectory. COYB

Genuine question... what have the trust done so badly wrong to upset people?

They rescued the club when it was at one of its lowest points and gave up their time to make sure we still had a club when no-one else would.

They got us through a global pandemic without getting into ridiculous amount of debt, whilst being able to generate very little income.

They've laid the foundations to bring exciting football back and given us all hope again.

And thats not to mention all the good work they do for our community.

Yes the Kirks have business acumen to make a profit in their respective businesses, but do they have any more experience in running a football club than the trust?

Or is that naive of me to think that way?

And, of course, was it not the Trust who effectively agreed the relationship with the Kirks which is, hopefully, leading to building the foundations for any future successes.

If it wasn’t for the trust we wouldn’t have a club today
When cook left our next manager was dean Saunders, under Allen and co
So I don’t get your point at all

Well said, Benno.

Perhaps those on these boards who are so quick to criticise the mistakes of others, but have never made a mistake themselves, will be equally as quick to put up their hands and let us know who they are.

My view:
If the trust hadn’t taken over we probably would have dropped into National League North during the covid curtailed campaign. Crowds would have dropped below 2000 and ultimately the club would have ended up like Bury. People easily forget how unpopular Allen and Carson were, they have very short memories

You’ve never been impressed with how the trust have conducted themselves, Walt. What is it you have against them?

They have made mistakes as most people of sound mind will acknowledge but you seem to have a deeply embedded problem with them.

So it seems so far that some people have issues with the way the trust have handled finances, and for appointing James Rowe...

So that begs the question why someone as business savvy as the Kirks would plough more of their own money into the club, if they didn't think the amount of debt we are in couldn't be turned around? Surely they'd just walk away.

As regards James Rowe, once the allegations were made, did the Trust handle things in the right way, knowing it would likely derail our promotion chances, or should they have tried to sweep it under the carpet?

To be fair to the trust as well they got rid of Rowe as soon as they were made aware of the allegation, could you imagine if they let him manage us for another 7 months before he was formally charged?

It'd be horrific for a community based charity.

Knowing your pedantic input when other posters occasionally misuse of our language, is the above a question or a statement?
