Sorry not convinced and like Tshimanga not a lot of league clubs showing interest

‘Not a lot of league clubs showing interest’. We have short memories, making the step up from NL to EFL is difficult for players. A lot of league clubs rarely shop in the NL if at all! I remember us signing Ollie Banks and Dan Gardner from NL and thinking it was a risk free option as they wouldn’t be on much money. Realistically there won’t be stacks of league clubs waiting to pay Dallas £Xk per week will there? Not in my eyes.

Give up. Are you saying now they’re NL players, Naylor and Grigg couldn’t make the step up?
Nor Dobra, Colcough, Mandy? Truth is a lot of lower EFL clubs can’t afford them.

So you think cheating is acceptable in sport? Fair enough.

I don’t and I cringe when I see it. I suppose we have to accept each others view but for me, if Dobra goes I’m ok with that.

I was half joking with my reply, but only half. I think cheating will only ever get worse in football so there’s a good chance you will fall out of love with the game very soon if you don’t like watching a player as talented as Dobra is and all that comes with him. What did you think to Jack Lester? Gary Roberts?

You’re missing the point. Dallas has played most of his football in the NL. Those names above (Dobs aside) have all played many games in the EFL. Poor argument.

Reality is that EFL clubs will still see signing players from NL as a risk and yes it is a step up. League 1 is a million miles better than this league.

Having thought about this and seeing the photo's on Instagram of Dallas enjoying a drink at the Pool etc and then the Club posting photo's of Dobra.

I am wondering whether I've been fed dud information

It might be a step up for some clubs, but not some (eg Stockport, Wrexham, Notts County, CFC) and not for all players. Otherwise players would never rise through the leagues on a regular basis. Which they have never stopped doing.
Jeez, time immemorial players have been bought by higher tier league clubs and gone onto have great careers. Including many internationals.

I wouldn't accept his view at all.
I'm with you 100%. What a sorry state the national game is in when cheating is not only accepted but encouraged.
The thing I really don't understand is why the authorities allow it to continue.
It could be completely taken out of the game if the FA introduced retrospective bans for simulation / unsportsmanlike conduct.

Amen.

I suppose fans get what they deserve in the sense that, if they are okay with watching a degraded poncefest, that’s what will be served up every week.
These go to eleven.

Just labouring a point here, but the question is, who serves it up the players or the coaches?
Derbyshire is Derbyshire
Yorkshire is Yorkshire

Never the twain shall meet.

Comes back to what Dallas really wants.

Okay, Gillingham might chuck more wedge at him and yeah, they're EFL.

However he could easily find himself toiling for chances in a bottom half outfit instead of banging 'em in at a successful club.

Perhaps even swapping places with Gillingham next year...

Not the only league club who have been after him though Chris although Gilla would be the faves if we don’t get him as the other one seemingly who was in the running is a **** hole

Have Gillingham made a better offer to Dallas or his agent? Sounds more like to me the agent trying to get the best deal for themselves before the cap kicks in on 1st July.If Dallas signs then great if not I’m sure Cookie has as alternative lined up. Wonder if we will offer Ibe a contract if he shines in pre season and plays at Matlock.

That is his agent’s job so no issue with that.

I think the point is in his holiday pic from last year he’s wearing light clue swim shorts…then in yesterdays video there’s someone walking around the pool in very similar light blue swimming shorts.

It’s clutching at straws of the highest order

He's never recovered from his claim about signing someone from Hartlepool years ago....
