There's tippy tappy that Maguire, Stones, and Phillips play for England, and there's tippy tappy that Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, and Busquets played for Barca.

We cannot afford to take expensive risks, been there too many times before.

Interestingly, neither are rate big lads like McCallum and Quigley. Both are slightly under Doyle height according to Wiki.

Most of our chances are from King/Mandy
Colclough/ LB
Getting to the byline and sliding balls across, we need movement and awareness, not a big lad
I’ve still got sick in my mouth from McCallum missing at Wrexham

Chadwick?
King Palmer Grimes Clements
Naylor DJ
Mandeville Dobra Colclough
Quigley
Subs: Maguire, Jones, Banks, Sheckleford, Asante
Granted we certainly need more but even without the other additions it doesn't look half bad.

Very much doubt Chadwick will be first choice goalkeeper

If I was Asante I'd be practicing until I threw up to make sure I'd be ready for the new season.

I'm not sure about Grigg either but also fairly sure we cant plonk the injury prone tag on him! Since really starting to play on a regular basis in the 2010/2011 season he's made plenty of appearances each season. He's twice gone over 50 games in a season, 4 times made over 40 and only twice been under 30 and even those were high 20s. The lower numbers coincide with his spell at Sunderland when after his big money move it went a bit pear shaped and he fell out of favour before going out on loan a few times. I'm not sure he's ever had spells out injured for long periods on a continual basis.

Akwasi has never played more than 26 or so games in one season. He won’t be fully fit and play 40 odd at the age of 30 after such serious injuries.
Our squad is 90% there but the spine still needs work. A GK and a CF should do the trick. We can’t blow the budget as we still have the likes of Rowe, Asante, Whelan and dare I say it Quigley who we could do with moving on. If we do move Quigley on as well as the other 3 we will need 2CFs you’d think.

To me from what I have seen of him he is nowhere near 1st choice keeper but good luck to the lad.

It's starting to look like a strong side, once the keeper/s and striker are sorted we've got 2 solid players for just about every position.
?
Sheckleford Williams Maguire Horton
Jones Banks
Jez Hobson ?
Asante
Then the likes of Rowe, Whelan, Gyasi...
