I don't think he has ever actually wanted to leave (particularly as a local lad) and despite being dropped from the team by Cook for months never showed any inclination to go on loan, or sign for someone else, so he can sit tight and see his final year out if he is so minded.

If he isn't in Cook's plans, unless we pay him off or he suddenly decides he fancies a move I guess he will be here, playing or not!

I think he proved hike worth when he came back in the squad towards the end of the season and stabilised the defence. He just doesn’t fit in with Cook’s formation/plans and he should consider a move away
