1)Starting a sentence with 'is' and concluding with "?", isn't a statement but a question. If the answer was in the affirmative then it reflected badly on the cricket loving populace of Sheffield. Surely they should be campaigning for at least one county championship game per season. I'm not overly familiar with deedah grounds but possibly Abbeydale or the likes of HSBC could be brought up to scratch for little outlay for a 4 day game if and thats if the desire was there.

2)It is what it is because the hierarchy at HQ have been given an easy ride. Surely there should be enough b.ll.cks in a county the size of Yorkshire to have stood up to them and making cricket more accessible to the vast populace.

3)In simple terms then. The point I'm making is, it ain't easy for the majority of yorkshire folk to watch their team and when they get an easy opportunity to do so albeit on 'foriegn' soil they tend to go to great lengths to tell us, as if we didn't know!!

4)No. The implication was, as stated being without much travel time you could get a beer (none cricket ground stuff) pre and post match also at lunch without difficulty which would be impossible in Sheffield. And the assertions that my knowledge of Kelham Island is limited, will cause much hilarity in the boozer later.

1) Yes Sheffield is the largest city etc etc but you knew that, but the rest of your point is irrelevant. Yorkshire nowadays only use 2 grounds. I’m not aware of any other county that uses more than 2 grounds. If Abbeydale was used how many games would it get? 1 I’m guessing.

2) Is a bit of a ridiculous point. Why would the public lobby for a cricket ground in Sheffield/Douth Yorkshire 🤣

3) A bitter post from yourself

4) I wasn’t referring to going to Kelham Island regards to cricket. My take on the original post was that you can get a better pint in Chesterfield and due to the childlike small town mentality shown by some, I stand by that view.

There you go 🙂

Unfortunately the weather forecast is looking decidedly iffy for tomorrow's game in the park. Sods law given all the sun we've been getting.

Fingers firmly crossed it's on as I'm looking forward to the annual pudding baiting, whilst we give them a good thrashing!

Derbyshire la la la, Derbyshire la la la....

Good to see Yorkshire giving it to the Aussies.

Rain very possible between 5-6pm so it could well be decided by the D/L method which shafted Yorkshire last year.

So what will happen tomorrow?

Will Derbyshire continue their good form against Yorkshire at Queen’s Park in the T20?
Will Yorkshire contribute their brilliant winning streak and win with their superior players?
Will we hear the Derbyshire fans tomorrow?
Will Whittman have another breakdown if Yorkshire win?

Return here tomorrow folks 😁

That's what you get when you play a stopper who can bat instead of your best wicketkeeper for England
