Must've been too early for Derbyshire, 7 wicket win thanks!

We won at a canter and should have wrapped it up earlier which would have helped the net run rate.

As we seem to have had some outdated childish stereotypes recently about Yorkshire by some on here.
If anyone wants to say hello at the game. I’ll be the one with the whippet and flat cap going eyup.

I suggest you read back to your original reply to me. You made some ARROGANT comment 🙂 about the usual Derbyshire win when I cant remember the last time you beat us in the CC. To be fair we don’t normally play you as you are normally a division below us.

As Derbyshire supporters we sometimes make statements because of how we play sometimes that somehow mean we have the ability to laugh at ourselves

As a Yorkshireman that my friend is something you will never understand

Again another stereotype and huge generalisation.
For the record I’ve lived in the Chesterfield area since 2010

There was no reference to 4 day cricket. It was clearly referring to the T20 games at Queen's Park. Is English not your first language?

Your answer to his post which asked who's going to the 4 day game suggests otherwise Tim. Read back post 1497.

Seems a few of you are rattled by my presence on this board. To think none of this would be happening if Westbars could read posts correctly.

It doesn’t matter how bad Derbyshire may be. On that pitch they should be scoring a lot more than 111 runs. The second Derbyshire wicket to fall was an atrocious shot to play even worse it was only the second over.
I was very surprised that Yorkshire put Derbyshire into bat bit the decision has obviously paid off so far.

All I will say on the incident where the derbyshire no 11 batsman Lakmal was hit on the head by a short pitched ball from look at me pudding fisher is that only the bowler knows the intent behind the bowling of that ball

It meant that lakmal had to retire out hurt so derbyshire only lost 9 wickets in their second innings and the replacement concussion sub can only bowl but he could not bat because he was deemed a better batsman than lakmal by the match referee so only a supposodly like for like batsman could have batted

lakmal is not in the side because of his batting and he was felled by the short pitched ball imo by fisher because he had made him look stupid by hitting a few boundaries and then playing a perfect defensive stroke to the ball before the one that felled him

Fisher was stomping about like a spoilt child with his actions and I
turned to my mate and said this next ball is going to be a short one aimed at Lakmal and bingo it happened

If any Pudding wants to try and defend Fishers actions then so be it

ps
please do not try to defend it if you did not actually see the incident live

Just to add that Malan who has not fielded at all during the Derbyshire second innings can now come in and bat with masood in the morning to probably see the Puddings to victory

To quote a certain manager in the past I would just love it love it etc lol

There seems to be a real bitterness towards Yorkshire from yourself. I did see the ball live ( via YouTube) I was at the ground on Monday. Fisher is perfectly entitled to bowl short and was straight over to the batter along with other Yorkshire players to show concern. Are you actually suggesting Fisher deliberately tried to hurt the batsman?

Onto the game itself, I think it’s 50/50 yet when Derbyshire were 17-4 on day 2 it was a case of what time on Monday is the game over. Fair play to Derbyshire for their fight back but Yorkshire ( if they do lose ) have completely thrown it away.

What a fantastic advert for CC cricket. At one point it was looking to be all done and dusted by the second day. Fair play to Derbyshire for making a comeback.
Well done to the Yorkies for seeing it over the line.
