Not really the point I was making. We have a full size squad and need to shift a few so it doesn’t become bloated as in previous years. Without that I can only see us signing the essentials which is obviously a keeper and a probably another striker

What has doom mongery got to do with pointing out the squad needs to be thinned down to allow more than the essentials to be brought in?

Dallas would be an amazing signing. I’m convinced he would get 25+ up top for us next year with the 3 attacking mids behind him. Not overly fussed about Grigg and doubt he’d drop to this level to play off the bench. Realistically it’s probably one or the other.

I suspect most departures will cost us money.

Still think we have a chance of signing Dallas. Depends what L1/L2 come in for him. He didn’t attract interest last but the fact he’s a free agent could make a few lesser clubs take the plunge.

I suspect it means cook, Webb, rest of coaching team and any scouts will identify the players they want to sign but it may then down to be others upstairs to do the contract negotiations potentially with some input from cook etc if required.
