So, in conclusion.
We will struggle to win the championship because we couldn't get a league double over any of the top seven last season, even with good signings that could strengthen our position. The fact that we finished the closest to the two teams that run away with the league means nothing at all but if we are going to win it then we're gonna need PC, DW and GR........which we had last season anyway. Does that sound about right?

Some reports have him as a striker, one of Alfreton’s leading scorers in the 21/22 season. More have him as a midfielder this season, presumably an attacking rather than a defensive one

Should an average of 2 pts a game be a realistic minimum target (92 pts)?

Still no guarantee, 92 points would only have bettered the 2nd placed side in 7 of the last 12 seasons (and 2 of those were shorter seasons due to Covid)

Whatever happens, if we want to win the league it takes a monumental, record breaking effort (as it does with most teams who win the NL)
