As much as I'd love to see this, Chris, any wedge we might have would be irrelevant if he has his sights set higher. He'd absolutely be my first choice if he could be convinced, though.

Dallas playing off a very good centre forrad as an option would make us very, very powerful.

Dallas, a CF, and a goalie would do for me.

I could live with that.
Facts are we did ok with the defence (always room for improvement btw) we finished 3rd behind two freak teams - one which we pushed all the way at Wembley.
But I wouldn't want to put all ourbeggs in one basket by blowing the budget just on Dallas / a couple if strikers

I'm not sure Dallas will mean a megabucks offer, its just whether we can convince him to play at this level for another season more than anything else.

These 'dobra to reading'rumours if there's owt in it,and we can get a decent wedge then we should let him go.him and colclough are both at their strongest wide left of the three and cutting in on their right.from what I've seen it hasn't quite worked with coco wide right.ryan colclough is a top player at this level.it would be hard to hold on to dobs through 2 transfer windows.

No player is irreplaceable and we are a selling club.
As much as I like Dobra and he is a hell of a player at this level, it was inevitable that he'd move on (if the rumour is true).
Plus, when he was out injured for that period, we did ok without him.
Not by any stretch of the imagination that I'd be happy him going, he mades the squad stronger, but it's funds and another player or two into the club.
Just floating this as its spung to mind :

How much for Dobra and the price of McShane from Dorking? Player in and spare cash in the coffers?

I know he's knock a few goals in but 100k feels steep.
Let's hope the recruitment set up have a list of quality players to target if Dobs is flogged on

I’d think he’s is own man first. If he’s any ambition at his age- he won’t be turning down any step up to a larger club and a higher league.
