Dobra to Reading I’ve heard might be a goer unfortunately

No manager and under a transfer embargo. All the makings of the signing going ahead

I don’t think it will be the last Dobra rumour we will read of this summer - for a number of reasons.

Out of contract next season, with only 2 years development fee then due to us, as a club we have stated that the model includes developing and selling on players, and we aren’t unduly short of creativity in the engine room.

I doubt we will stand in his way if the right bid comes in. He’s better than NL level.

But we have the financial clout to pick off somebody else’s good players. We are in for a good season whoever comes and goes

The other Reading rumour was Notts manager lined up to go there.

As much as I’d love to keep hold of Dobra, Notts loss would be far bigger in the unlikely event that it did happen.

Also, as others have stated, he might be a talented lad but I would have thought this was the last position we really needed to strengthen in. Unless of course someone is leaving.

We can't go through the whole season with Mandy-Dobra-Coco as the 3 every game. As much as some people may like Jez he hasn't come off the bench once and affected a game (that's before rumours of the bust up with PC post Bromley away).

If you want to compete you need options off the bench, 4 attacking midfielders rotating with 1 being an option off the bench & Jez as back up incase of injuries seems a good ploy to me.

I'd be amazed if the County manager left there with all the good feeling at the moment to jump to a basket case like Reading who are only a division higher.

'I’ll throw you Jay Jones into the mix too

Will Grigg and him definitely at the ground yesterday'.

Can't work out who Jay Jones is unless it's Ricky-Jade Jones from Peterborough?

It’s Wigan’s keeper Jamie Jones, was Cook’s no.1 when Wigan won league. 34. Sounds good.

Handy knowledge, good experience and doesn't want to see out his career sitting on the bench.

Agreed. Jez is a miles off for me.

If he'd just use his pace more and stop the pausing before trying to take somebody on then he'd be halfway to being a good, good player.
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

I've got worries that he's going to be one of those wingers who looks bright but then flatters to deceive. He needs to learn tactical awareness and... not sure how to put this... where to stand, lol. A loan to a lower National League club would be good I reckon. But we'll see.

Admittedly only from a far, he also doesn't seem to take on feedback very well during a game from coaches or other players - tends to look abit argumentative.

There is a very good player in there somewhere.

I get what you’re saying but the best wingers in the world don’t generally rely on simple pace in a foot race. You watch how many attack a full back at pace, slow it down and then go again at pace. It’s very often the changes of pace that beat the full back.

Jez just needs to realise there’s a burst of pace before the pause.

I know a bloke who knows another bloke both of which aren't reliant on canine imput but are catogoric in the the following, which no doubt most will think totally bizarre:- A London based league club have pulled out of a bid for Dobs cos they can't match his wages, but a deal for Quigs is very close. I know I know I have a large drum of 'Saxa' available.
The story stems from the smoke not here. We know full well that stories/make believe from that neck of the woods are generally unreliable, time will tell with this one.

Did Alty just let Colclough come for nowt then?

We’ve plenty of financial clout at this level and even amongst a number of teams in L2
