The sport is littered with players who then thew a career away.
No time for this kind of player, if proven deserves everything he gets.
If it collapses, he'll be untouchable and sweeping streets near somebody

Have they got grounds to terminate his contract now he's basically not guilty as he's facing no charges? I'm not saying he should be back in the club training etc but can they get rid of him outside of paying him off?

Wouldn't have thought so, but they'll be paying him either way.

Latest statement suggests a key witness has dropped out and new evidence has come to light that deems it would not be in the best interests to prosecute.

All it needs is for the lass to say they were playing a game or something like that.

The statement actually mentions key witnesses and with new information coming to light it meant that there was no realistic chance of conviction.

I might be wrong but wasn’t the evidence against him quite damning?
My understanding is a key witness has pulled out, for whatever reason, hence the trial collapses.
If he wanted an actual ‘not guilty’ he’d have been better getting it through the rigours of a court case with everything laid bare as opposed to it getting dropped in this manner.
Maybe Man Utd will take the view of inappropriate behaviour or bringing the club into disrepute or something?
