The sport is littered with players who then thew a career away.

No time for this kind of player, if proven deserves everything he gets.

If it collapses, he'll be untouchable and sweeping streets near somebody

Ideally they'll terminate his contact asap. Have little to no respect for Man Utd generally, but would have a modicum if they did this.

Have they got grounds to terminate his contract now he's basically not guilty as he's facing no charges? I'm not saying he should be back in the club training etc but can they get rid of him outside of paying him off?

I might be wrong but wasn’t the evidence against him quite damning?

My understanding is a key witness has pulled out, for whatever reason, hence the trial collapses.

If he wanted an actual ‘not guilty’ he’d have been better getting it through the rigours of a court case with everything laid bare as opposed to it getting dropped in this manner.

Maybe Man Utd will take the view of inappropriate behaviour or bringing the club into disrepute or something?

He's a scum bag irrespective of whether he is proved guilty in a court of law. No club should touch him but one will just like we did with that scum bag Ched Evans.
