If he and his legal team have been on standby and then stood down at short notice will they be able to claim expenses

I'd speculate and say as it appears to be a short routine hearing the delay is at JR's end

If JR was being charged on the grounds of arrogance and an unpleasant character , a guilty outcome would be highly likely.

As it stands its far more serious and at present he is innocent until proven guilty.

Delays can be a dual edged sword, some accused use it to help weaken the resolve of the "victim" and hope that a crown court appearance may be too intimidating. On the other hand the accused sits in limbo, guilty or not reputation damaged.

For all involved lets hope its resolved quickly so they can move on once the evidence has been heard and arguments made, rather than trial by us!

Before anyone Reds me, I am not supporting JR or disrespecting his alleged victim just wanting the law to take its course.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see not guilty , ‘reasonable doubt’ and a jury can be hard to overcome.

It wouldn't surprise me, given the way he went right down to the wire with his disciplinary at CFC before caving in ten minutes before the hearing.
It's nice to be able to Trust again.

I reckon he will probably be acquitted. However he still may find it difficult to get a job in football again. And if found guilty he's truly had it.

No doubt you'll be able to tell us what happened several days afterwards and claim there are highlights on Youtube.
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

Will the arrogance and do you know who I am routine make an appearance in the courtroom?

Are you keeping count on the counsel?

no, you're right, he confirmed his 'not guilty' plea today and as you said the trial has been scheduled to start on December 4th 2023.

he has been granted unconditional bail.

The delays in court dates are so unfair for the victims in these sort of cases
