Still too early to call, completely depends upon the signings for the centre of the park,......

Agree. Certainly top half finish but impossible to predict anything better as things stand

with what I have read about signings and squad building at other teams I can honestly see MK Dons Peterboro Notts Co Rotherham Bradford all doing better than us that means 6th or 7th for me

none of that lot has as good a goalie or back four as us. Top 3 for me.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Where will we finish? My guess:

10

Without a midfield to speak of it's difficult to make a case for much better than that. I'm assuming that a couple will be signed. If they're half decent there should be plenty of goals and a solid defence. As it is outside the play-offs, with some strengthening top 3.

We'll probably spend most of the season in a "i don't understand what people are moaning about, we're only a few points off the play-offs" sort of position.

Mid table, miss out on playoffs by 5 or so points i reckon.

Would that mean that Richo would then leave being as he said something along the lines of anyone who doesn't take us up this season deserved to go?

Although Roy Mac said similar things about leaving if the fans turned against him yet still waited to be pushed and paid off handsomely.

It must be a thing to get paid off handsomely, like thieving..

Too early to say really, have to wait and see IF we get anymore signings.

I'd LIKE a top 3 finish, but too early to predict I think.

If we sign 3 midfielders with one central one who can pass then top 3 otherwise bottom 3

My wish was always to see the club in the Championship before I die but they have let me down

So given that the best we can hope for is likely to be 2 (and one or both of these looks like being on loan) I take it you're some way short of getting that 'can't wait for the season to start' sort of feeling.

Me too...
"and a pair of those Geoff Mitchell glasses, please."

I kinda agree.

I really think we think we're better than we are, but where is the supply to the forwards going to come from. I mean our current midfield 4 is

Robertson - Niven - Davies - Smith

at least 3 more players are needed desperately we only have a recognised 1st team of 18 players, 3 injuries and we're struggling for a full matchday squad.

Purely from a gambling perspective would anyone like a little wager at this stage. I'll bet anyone £100 we don't finish in the bottom TEN?

Completely agree we need midfielders but what about a 3-5-2 formation:

..........Ward..........Fletcher......
...................Lester.................
Robertson Niven Davies Lowery
....O'Hare....Gray....Downes....
.................Roche..................

Not too bad? Or would players struggle with roles and the team not be able to get in behind the full backs and therefore limit fletchers usefulness?

This thread is very interesting in light of recent discussions.
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!
