Is Clarke destined to be farmed out on loan?
Cooper is one of our highest earners and barely features.
Find their omission really odd?
Results are amazing btw and not questioning cook but just wondered if anyone had any thoughts ? Maybe Kevs dog?

He's my favourite player but with Cook you get no hidden agendas and a very wise head, so if I don't see Clarke in a CFC shirt again I'm content that it's for the right reasons. I'd be gutted though.

Not everything has to be so literal. Can’t remember saying I’d drop Dobra and just throw an unfit and struggling for form Cooper straight in on the left. I really hope we see something like the best of him before the season is over or it will be a massive shame.

The biggest shame will be for George himself as this could be looked upon as a make or break season for him. If he continues to struggle with fitness issues for a third season then it's quite possible he will have to seriously consider his future.
As for Jack Clarke, I only see him as cover for Liam Mandeville in the current set up. I don't see him as a contender for a central role and Uchegbulam seems to be ahead of him for Dobra's role. Also, I think Horton could do a job on the left in front of Clements if need be. So, Jack has to find a level of fitness and consistency he has not yet shown to get closer to the natch day 16.

When I saw him play can't say I was impressed. As for Clarke it seems injuries are an issue for him, another player who can only play a few games before being injured again. Feel sorry for the lad because there is a good player there.

Hardly loss of form, he's not had a run in the side. He started once at home I think and did pretty well was taken off after 70 minutes and has hardly been seen since.

The way Whelan has been playing Clarke has to wait for his chance. He is too lightweight for me but has plenty of class.

My impression (rightly or wrongly) of him was tainted at a recent home game when after the third sub was introduced (not him..) he walked off down the tunnel.
Similar when he did play and got subbed he looked annoyed/p’d off and sulky.

Well, to counter the above he was on the pitch after the game Saturday, applauding the fans and his body language didn't reflect any of the implications above.
With the shenanigans that happen in this league, it's to be expected that we will succumb to preplanned/unfortunate injuries and that is when the depth of our squad will come to the fore.
Keeping a squad of such depth happy and ready will take exceptional man management skills, fortunately we have that man.
Have wrexham and Notts got these luxuries?

According to the DT he was the only one of the fit players who travelled Saturday who didn't make the matchday squad (cooper didn't travel) so fair play to him for joining in the celebrations etc
And reference the comment about him looking annoyed when not brought on recently, good, that's exactly how he should be feeling!
