Isn't the long term solution to have a Director Of Football?

Crooty was CEO of the Trust when it had a turnover of £40k. It now has a million quid turnover, not including the football club. In my opinion Cooky's commitment to the club is doing Crooty a big favour cos he doesn't need any managing, unlike the last one who should have been but wasn't.

No
A director of football is generally reserved for clubs with billion pound turnovers. When day to day running of the all the football side including youth development along with scouting and recruitment is too much for one man.
It would, in effect, make PC number 2 with the DOF having final say over who we sign, how the team is coached etc.
I'd much rather have PC as Manager and not Head Coach. And I doubt he'd drop to that role wnyway.

I was one of those delirious with happiness at his return and remain exactly the same. He seems to be in a good place, being wanted and loved by the fans of CFC and long may that continue.

I was suggesting that PC would make a great DOF, not work for one. The Chairman has already praised his management of budgets; the shoots of a youth/U23 setup; effective scouting system; established playing pattern and standards; need for stability; Webb wanting a promotion; etc, etc
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Sorry, misinterpreted your post.
Would love to see PC step up, when his current contract expires, and DW take charge.
I think he'll be 60 then and far too old to be playing head tennis and arguing with 4th officials.
