One of them days

Spurs or Newcastle away for me

Spurs would be awkward...

... after all the micky taking from the twitter admin last season
Here we go again!

Surely we want a mega club away or a home tie that guarantees TV coverage.

An attractive home game or a money spinner away. After hitting the jackpot last season you’d think we’re unlikely to strike gold again with a Spurs, Arsenal, Man United or Liverpool but you never know.

What we really don’t want is a poorly supported Championship club that’ll need to sell £10 tickets just to shift 8000

Don’t think we’ve played a Premier League side at home in a competitive fixture since moving to the current ground?

True?

Last one at home Charlton Athletic in the Worthington Cup at Saltergate in 2007.

Correct. Middlesbrough in the first season in the LC as high as we’ve had.

Newcastle, both Manchester's away, both Sheffield bigguns or even Derby away would be nice.

My mate went to spurs last week to watch the egg chasing and said it was one of the best grounds he had ever been to for any sport

You have already been lectured about the law of averages not existing by Stevie (I think). I believe her, but fate or kismet is another matter. Just look at 2 third round appearance in succession, who would believe that?

Having said all that it’ll be Preston away

Depends on Dagenham v Gills.
Wrexham through with us so there could be 3 ' non league ' teams in the draw..
However saying that I'd fancy us against any league 2 opponents and certainly a fair few in league 1.

There's still the games tomorrow with Ebbsfleet, Boring Wood, Chippenham & Buxton involved as well.
"Do you think I'm here for your amusement" & good riddance to bad rubbish

Many happyTown fans after the game after witnessing a superb performance. Town played Wimbledon off the park and apart from one glaring miss by them, there was ony one team in it. Town were so dominant in the first half. Their superb tackling, closing down, high tempo and building from the back game was a joy to behold and it would have been a tragedy had we not been 1-0 up at half time. So rare for me to feel comfortable as the second half wore on but we never stopped competing and continued to take the game to them. The Wombles improved a liitle but but they struggled to get by a stout back line.

Palmer looks a good player and it's hard to pick a MOM as there are so many contenders. I'm going for Whelen who was brilliant today. A player I expected to be on his way out has surprised me. He was a little engine today.

This was no giant killing. Many of us believed the Wombles were there for the taking and so it proved to be.

It is the best stadium in the UK IMO. Great place to watch sport, would be a good awayday and a top earner.

Did you spot the national league reference.

We should do similar podcast with Walton on there.
