Soilyhull Match Thread

Hopefully with the cameras being in attendance Ardley will be restricted in his renowned tactics(?) and not too many spoilyhull players will suffer life threatening damage to their eye lashes and we may get a game with ball in play for more than 35 minutes.
Anyway a note of congratulations to soilyhull, in 50+ years watching football I award them my "most detested team" award. Not a bad achievement considering they've passed the likes of Bradford, Vale and Grimsby.
Oh! the man charged with determining betwean football and amateur theatricals(professional would be more appropriate) Mr Russel,in his first visit to the 'Technique' has little history with us doing well in 2 games last season at Eastleigh and boredom.
Soilyhull, a club rotten from the top.

I'll put you on my christmas card list!
Christmas cards are still cheaper than a pint arent they? assuming you're a "top notch" lager drinker.

I've suggested to the club we have a corner flag throwing competition at half time. Just to make our visitors feel at home.

They probably think they have a rivalry with us now after having so many Xmas/New Year matches and the playoff game last season. In all honesty I dont think any Chesterfield fans have any interest in them apart from when we play them. Also there's no prem/championship matches due to the world cup so their bolstered numbers will probably be due to fans from other clubs coming to cause trouble, like they did at the play off game.

I hope we have strengthened our security for this game and frisked ALL their supporters for flares.
The game will depend a lot on the quality of the ref and whether he has the bottle to be strict with them from the start.

I think you are referring to Osbourne who is normally their assistant referee, He has been out with injury and came back in the cup match but came off early so it might actually be genuine. IT is a pity Dallas is just back from injury because he is pretty sharp along with a few other forwards they have.
They may be a horrible club and they certainly have some cynical players but they also have some good players.

It makes you wonder with being in a very well populated area and with the bigger local clubs not doing to good as well as being a bit of a trek that their home attendances are so poor. Maybe it's the powers that be fault, wanting egotistical success at any cost and Ardley towing the line causing genuine football supporters of southern brummieland to give soilyhull the swerve
