Can't see how that will work well for Southampton. I know they have largely recruited youth, which is fine, but can't see Nathan Jones as the man to arrest their slow slide towards eventual relegation over the next few seasons.

I watch Luton a bit as a good friend is a season ticket holder at Luton - they play decent football with players that havent cost much. Lost their talisman and captain in the close season to Bristol City - everyone thought it would be a disaster but still doing well at this stage. He seems capable of getting them playing as a team, finding players on the cheap, etc

Good to see they arent just trotting out the usual tired characters who have done it and failed.

When you're struggling, such traits can take you a long way (like they did for Paul Cook).

York have posted another statement saying Askew wanted to leave and then John has gone on BBC radio York and said he was surprised to see the letter saying he was sacked! You couldn't make it up.

Isn’t the owner on record that he wants a playoff place this campaign? To be honest with the strength of the league and quality of York’s squad they seem to be punching above their weight already
