I know one of the magistrates hearing the case. He's also an avid town supporter and St holder

He can’t sit in judgement if that’s the case.
God I hate this league.

Can only say what he told me. No reason to disbelieve him. Always been honest in the 30 years I've known him

I thought only 1 magistrate ever hears a case?

Always been three when I've been there.

I think the Trust come out of this with great credit. They have shown principle, discretion & not a little class. All things completely alien to Rowe's lickspittle on here.

It’s the constant desire to leap to the defence of sexual predators I find disturbing.
A new hope.

Should be sitting on his sofa if he goes round telling folk what cases he has
Not that I believe they get told of the cases so far in advance.

You’d have thought it would be something he’d keep quite, not telling a pal who then plasters it on the aforementioned football clubs forum!

Of course he can - as long as he’s not actively involved in the case it’s no issue.

I don't know for certain, but it would certainly raise a few eyebrows given he is a regular costumer at the business to which the accused who is alleged of the offence was employed at the time of the aforementioned offence

Yes it is, it would just be like a juror if they have a connection with the accused which could be seen as influencing their independence then they should declare it if appointed and not preside over the case.

Don't argue. You do realise that CPS (how apt) once walked his dog passed the College for Judicial Studies and is now the font of all knowledge on the said subject.

Is Martin Thacker a magistrate? That'd be funny.
It's nice to be able to Trust again.

I think if it were me I’d ask the Clerk to take me off the listing for this case, even if it was technically ok.
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.

I bring you some absolutely useless information .........

There's a M. E. Thacker in the MOJ list of serving magistrates in England, 2020.

The lesson to be learned by us all who have responded to Fishini is that he makes things up.
