That's not the point though is it. The point is that tomorrow we have to take time out of our day to pick up the tickets from Christ knows where, we've had to cock about contacting CFC buying the tickets, ringing the club up to work out if it was pick up from CFC only.

If only Alty had a way of selling them online that caused no extra hassle by using a QR code that you could download onto your phone and show at the gate. That would have been lovely but I'm sure that solution doesnt exist....

I mean the CFC ticket office must be rushed off their feet since they are now charging punters surcharges in an attempt to sway people away from the ticket office. If only there was some way the club could look after the home games thus reducing surcharges and not worry about away games so home fans dont get ripped off? Just a thought.

It is pretty clear….

that the club want to cut down on admin by dissuading punters from making in person purchases by implementing a draconian surcharge - I don’t like that (loads of people can’t or don’t want to use online sales)

that the club wants to control the sale of away tickets (and put up with the extra admin) when they deem a sell out possible - I have no problem with that ( we have to look after the inner sanctum after all). However a postal option should be available when timescales permits.

The rules state that if the away side want to sell tickets they can do, there is no mention that the home team have to pay the away side to do so though.

It seems more likley DIFH is talking out of his ringpiece.

No. If handling paper ticket sales the selling away clubs picks up a small commission.
Whether is even covers the costs who knows.

Dave says it is £2 / ticket sold, that would be enough hire a couple of admin staff if done on a regular basis, Can't see it personally, especially if we have asked for them to send the tickets

Tickets still available on Altrincham’s website. Managed to bag one yesterday. They were online tickets.

There was no option to collect. There was an option to download a pdf and print, but I simply added to my phone wallet.

That sounds like an ideal solution.

Hmm, just made a last minute decision to go and booked a ticket online and added it to my phone wallet in about 1 minute. I admit I haven't read the thread so am struggling to work out why there's an 11 page thread on it😜

Disappointing if we don't fill the away end given its proximity. Seen a few Town shirts here at Skeggy Butlins who won't be there - only seen the one Mansfield.

Hey - as an Ingoldmells regular I can confirm it's full of Mansfield, Tim.

Yeah, y'can tell with all the Forest shirts...

(PS: try the Boat House just outside Butlins, pal. Proper pub with proper prices...)

Because we've got someone who's being a complete knob who seems to think this is a stick to beat the club with as he's got nothing more to moan about.
"Do you think I'm here for your amusement" & good riddance to bad rubbish
