Would you rather be the team winning matches 3-1 every match at the top end of the National league or be the team losing 9-0 every match in the Premier league?
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

Would be ok with seeing Chesterfield lose 9-0 at Liverpool in the Premier League because as a fan, we must have had an amazing few years getting there

The latter because that means we had 4 promotions in short order. Worth one season of humiliation

Just like Danny Wilson at Barnsley ?

Didn’t that bankrupt them and get Danny the sack.

That would probably see all the good foundations undermined, Cook gone and us back to square one.

Not for me thanx.
God I hate this league.

Would I rather go to Dorking and win or go to Tottenham Hotspur stadium and lose.

I’ll take the spanking all day thanks. I’d be happy enough to see us in the championship never mind prem.

So was I, left at 9:0. Just couldn't bear to watch the inevitable 10th goal go in!

I’d take 8-0 one year and say we did better than Bornmouth

For a significant part of your life Barnsley have struggled in the third and fourth tier with crowds little bigger than ours. Since their appearance in the top tier the lowest tier they’ve played in has been the third (on a handful of occasions).

We’d be at double our core support even when the inevitable happened.

I’d take our foundations being undermined like that.
