The morning after the night before….still buzzing…was explaining to the dog on our dalliance up the trail at blottoclock every goal..Ollie(what a player)..Akwasi(AA brilliant)..Kabby (wow)…it was another great game…fair play to Barnet..they’re going to annoy a few teams…eventually they just couldn’t cope. The noise that was being emitted from every corner of the ground was immense. The support was fantastic again. From the start of the second half to Kabbys goal the noise was unbelievable…the linesman in front of the East Stand virtually crapped his pants when the 3rd goal went in.
Going to enjoy my Saturday now…..think we’re out later for a curry…will watch the results come in later and bring on Monday.

Anybody got any news about Clake? Perhaps there is none.

He looked like he was limping as he came on the pitch at the end!

Loved how we battered them in the second half. The players and fans were like one big pack of hounds scenting blood.

DW said post match that we have pretty much a full squad of fit players and some are going to be unlucky to miss out of a place in the 16

That 20 minutes where we totally battered them was the most enjoyable period of football I’ve watched for quite some time.

A great team performance. What I was most impressed with was the way we shrugged off their goal, and kept playing football. That spell in the second half when we pinned them in their own half for about 15 minutes was incredible, and full credit goes to their keeper who prevented an absolute thrashing. I've been longing to see Dobra linking up with Kabongo, and that brilliant through ball and clinical finish was fantastic. I can see the Dobra/Tshimanga combination destroying more opposition defences. Watching that second half onslaught from us made me wonder if we'll be able to keep up the incredible high-tempo pressing that eventually wore Barnet down, but I suppose that's where our squad depth comes in. Very early yet, but, given better luck than last season on the injury front, we'll take some stopping this time round.

A few of us in the East Stand said that. He certainly didn't look like he was moving too well.

It's very early days but I have enjoyed all 4 games I've seen. Certainly, there's a lot of promise in the squad and every player selected has performed to a decent standard.

Having said that, when we have been dominant we have not punished teams as much as we should have and, sometimes, rushed shots from range rather than showing a little more patience. If you don't score when on top you are likely to get punished as has been demonstrated in games so far. Aldershot & Barnet both showed we are a bit vulnerable to a quick counter attack too.

All in all though I am sure that Cook will endeavour to improve the squad further as he seeks to iron out any deficiencies on the training ground etc. But, the exciting thing is that there might even be a bit of the first season at the new stadium about us under JS - "if you score 3 we'll score 4".

We have a number of players we have not seen yet, and I thought it interesting that Uchenbulam was chosen ahead of Gyasi last night, so those in possession of the shirt at the moment know they have to continue to perform as the squad seems to have strength in depth.

Re Gyasi, maybe they are sharing out the bench places.
I don't want the stress of conceding goals on the path to victory. A defence as tight as a ducks ringpiece please, with 1 or 2 goals scored against the better teams and 3,4 or 5 against the lesser teams. Thats all I ask for.

Your not asking for much then.

The way the side is set up with such a high defensive line even more evident with Covolan playing last night the ball over the top is always the danger and Barnet tried it a few times. He’s got the full backs both pushed up and trusts the 2 center backs 1 on 1 to deal with it. It’s not going to change as it leaves us dominant in possession which you are seeing but will leave us open to the counter with Ollie and DJ dropping in to have 2 in front to stop the counter on the floor.

I will take the way we are playing every time with the knowledge we may get caught occasionally…it’s exciting football..it’s what I want to watch…it’s what I’ve paid my money for.

No he isn't. There's only one Alan Birch. Dobra is good but not to be compared with the one and only Alan Birch!!

Now that he is back and scoring surely joe no goals should be warning back like he should have be all season and nowhere near the 1st team.

You fool , Quigley as been excellent all season. Don't know what games you have been watching. He deserved a goal last night the work rate he puts in is second to none. For him to get a standing ovation from all sides of the ground says it all , I take it you stayed sat down that's if you were even there!
