Shame I've missed tonight, would have loved to have seen Kabongo'a goal. Hopefully it was at the South Stand end.

It was and what a cracker.

Mandy's having a quiet game.

I thought he was absolutely outstanding and was my pick for MoM, albeit from a list of outstanding candidates!

Pleasing thing about that game it was an eventually divisive win against what looks a very decent counter attacking team. They are going to bother many sides this year and in the end we can count ourselves unlucky just to score three.

Dobra must be the most irritating player to play against and boy were they irritated with I’m

If any one is complaining that we look open at the back then people will have to get used to it when we play decent sides, we are essentially playing 4 at the back with 2 wingbacks.

Quigley actually played superbly, holding the ball up well, and was very unlucky not to score at least one goal.

Agree about Mandeville; he absolutely terrorised the left side of their defence in the second half, especially in that 15 minute spell when we pulverised them. Credit to their keeper for at least three terrific saves - he saved his team from an absolute hammering.

That glancing header from Quiggers looked like a certain goal to me, but their keeper made a good save, one of many.

I thought Mandy made too many back passes in the first half but improved a lot in the 2nd half. Maybe PC had a word.

Really pleased for Kabby who took his goal like a true striker, well placed and powerful. What a player.

Brilliant game overall and a mention for Jez who looked a real live wire when he came on.

Fantastic night. We were excellent in patches and that spell about 10 minutes into the second half was so good, we looked like we could run riot and the ground was rocking. Dobra is absolutely ridiculous, what a player he is, seriously!! Thought Quigley and Asante were really good again, but I am absolutely buzzing for Kabongo. Great celebrations all round from when he slotted that in in front of the Kop, folk all over place.

Curry after up Whit Moor wasn’t bad either.

Get those tickets shifted for Monday and let’s pack it out, the fans have been great so far this season!

Last night was so fun. Quigley’s proper turned it round, excellent all round performance but I’m still never confident he’ll actually score. Hopefully he opens his account soon.

Dobra, Williams, King, Asante all great. Yes we look open but we defend man to man and put faith in our players’ ability to win the ball back. King’s tackling is so good so far this season, everyone said he can’t play RB, he absolutely can.

Quigley up front now is turning into a bit of a beast cos the defenders aren't bullying him anymore and more importantly they can't get the ball off him as much. Whatever they are doing with him is working in abundance, brilliant job.
But what I liked was when Kabby came on the pitch we stopped the long pass straight away and reverted to more a Cooky style of pass, pass, pass game. Kept possession of the ball and tried to play the killer through ball for him. Were now a team with different dimensions that any team is going to struggle against and now that Kabby is back scoring he's gonna be chomping at the bit to carry it on. We could almost find that Quigley will be on the bench not because of any fault of his own but simply because we look so strong when we try to build up play rather than when we try to force it a bit quicker.

Woke up this morning still buzzing after that awesome performance and result. This is a real Paul Cook team. Beautiful passing football and a joy to watch.

As for man of the natch....they were all fantastic so the man who picked the team can have it! 😁
