A contract is legally confidential. Nobody is permitted to reveal contents without other party's agrement. So how does anybody know how much your new job pays?
Instead of posting a random quote from an annonymous person claiming to be a law firm. Try a law firm that represents clubs in employment matters.

https://www.mills-re...gerial-sackings

Because disclosure would be in the terms of the settlement agreement.
Your law firm says:
In some cases, managers might not have clauses in their contracts that provide they have a duty to mitigate any loss suffered as a consequence of the termination of their employment. This can lead to a scenario where a sacked manager is paid off, say, the remaining 2 years of their contract then gets another job a short time later, meaning it adds up as something of a windfall.

Note ‘in some cases’ - not never.
So in fact your quoted law firm is effectively saying ‘take our advice, and your club won’t be stitched up with paying up a contract and then seeing your former employee walk straight into another job.’

By the way, for reference, the law firm I was quoting was Bloomsbury Square Employment Law.

Seems the bookies were right and Alex Neil is leaving Sunderland for Stoke. Must be chucking a decent wedge at him and the time it’s taken to sort today he was tapped up via his agent prior to them sacking the other bloke yesterday.

There's a decent job there at Sunderland for someone, they seem to have turned things around after some horrible years.

You cannot put in a contract something that will put you in breach of a legally binding document.
That's like teminating the contract of your r&d manager and telling him he has to come back with the secrets of his new firm or we won't pay you your settlement.

There's a reason why employers want it to remain confidential and they don't want it out in the open, especially with competitors.

I worked with employment solicitors for 8 years and I learnt quite a lot about employment law and contracts during that time and Bloomsbury was one of them, as our company was London based, we used them quite often.
On a side note, I was in their office when the bus was blown up on 7/7 200 yards away

Sorry to hear read that last bit.

Going back to your original point-2018 - Louis van Gaal revealed he made Manchester United continue paying up his contract by turning down the Belgium job as an act of "revenge" and says he still blames former players for his Old Trafford exit. This was widely reported.

Appears to be more about funds and transfer policy than results. Parker was talking about needing new players etc post match and seems the board disagree.

Yea, he seemed to have a pop at the board for lack of backing, basically said they weren't good enough to stop up, the board obviously disagree...

Crazy now. Still early days for bournmouth, dont recall southampton manger been sacked after both there 9-0 defeats. Probably a fluke result and only 4th such scoreline in league history. So a manager speaking the truth about the board now get the sack straight away?

I cannot believe how little quality that Burton squad has, IMO they will probably drop straight down the National League if they go down this season.

Totally no shock at all, no one last long there now. Another badly ran club using managers as scapegoats

Entirely his own making
By now 4 games in they should have cemented their inevitable Champions League finishing position
Harry Redknapp surely won’t be able to resist throwing his hat in the ring
And Scotty Parker replaces Gerrard at Villa and is sacked again before the season is out
THEY FLY SO HIGH , NEARLY REACH THE SKY , AND LIKE MY DREAMS THEY FADE AND DIE
