It was an illustration of how unfair and unwise Cartman’s system was and not a quip. In this league half the teams are in the south east and someone could accumulate points at a rate higher than someone who actually contributes to the club bank balance with very little effort. I have been there and done it and those were in the days when we were in a league with a northern bias

Let’s face it a loyalty schemes are there to encourage customers to spend money at YOUR business, be it a supermarket or a football club. Madness to encourage punters to spend money at your rivals business. It is a cynical but that is a the fact of life.

There will be a fair way to do it. Other clubs up and down the country seem to manage it ok.

I get regular emails from Swansea, Derby, Burnley and West Ham because I have bought things from their online shop or tickets from them. Despite me regularly buying tickets from Chesterfield and having had a Season Ticket in the past, I have not had an email from them in a very long time. Usually get an email the day before a game to remind you to buy a ticket or how to follow the match if it's away etc, we used to do the same but don't seem to anymore. I have checked that on my account data protection settings are all ticked yes to recieving emails, SMS, post and phone calls, so that's not the issue.

Exactly.

It's not B****Y hard in this day and age. Every online account I have with every company under the sun send CRM communications about big events or whatever. We do nada. It should have been one of the first things the marketing manager sorted out. I bet we have a database well into 5 figures that we should talk too, and it isn't a massive piece of Business Intel work to identify who the match go-ers are, who haven't been for a while, who has/had a ST, etc and even send a few targeted mails to boost sales

Do the exiles not buy any merchandise like shirts etc? I certainly wont be spending anymore if I can never get to a game because tickets are being held back for mates.

Which games have you had to miss?

I’ve literally never missed a game because I’ve not got a ticket. Even the popular ones - Torquay few years back, Solihull, Dorking, Mansfield etc. This is massively OTT, we very rarely sell out, and even more rarely sell out before GS.

Plenty of tickets on sale for Friday if you’ve not got one already.

Looks like Altrincham will be a late decision for me, did that allow any pay on the day there last year?

Then why do CFC have to get involved then? You keep saying this and if its true it completely negates CFC's involvement in selling tickets. Why do they make it harder for fans to get tickets if there is no need.

Nearly bought the tickets still thinking it was an evening KO, then saw the club announcement that it was 3pm, which as slightly effed things up.

They don’t but you also don’t miss games because you can’t get tickets either

It's perfectly possible that we could sell out a game at Altrincham in advance.

Especially if they keep a significant portion back for mates.

Are we suggesting there’s an unwritten agreement/arrangement that maybe some users, of say a certain official travel club, will have a ticket put aside for in demand away games that gives them maybe even more chance of getting a ticket than those who wait for general sale, and even in some cases where tickets allocated are far less than season ticket holders, gives them more chance of a ticket than an actual season ticket holder?

Can you provide positive evidence that tickets are held back by the management for their mates? Not hearsay or gossip?
Or is this one more in a series of gripes against the club? You were at Dorking so presume you managed to get one?.
Again which games have you specifically been unable to attend through lack of tickets?

I think in the broader sense he’s right without having to provide evidence.

Even if tickets were held back for Tru Blu regulars......and I have no idea if they are.
It would make good business sense as then the coach is profitable.
The Club is a business at the end of the day not a charity.

Given the amount of data we have on both existing and lapsed customers, its staggering how very little we do with that data.

For example, I wonder how many of the 500+ non-renewed ST holders from the last couple of seasons have been contacted?

Same here, never hear a peep from CFC with regards to e-mails around games, special events etc at the club. (All I see is Lee Lard at the Proact on social media !!

I am contacted on a regular basis by the various cricket stadiums around the country, having followed and attended games involving the England Cricket team & the ECB, along with various Counties around the Country watching Derbyshire.

Also I am contacted by various football clubs having attended games at various stadiums around the country.

All the above giving information about games/events to attend at their stadiums etc.

I can provide evidence if need be but it would mean betraying a trust that I don't want to do. Do you think I anyone would be so annoyed if they didn't know for a fact this happened?

OK so which games have you not managed to get a ticket for?
Simple enough?

If there is no issue and plenty of tickets why are CFC making a simple process of buying direct from the away club much harder by putting extra hoops like collecting paper tickets in the way from the home ground etc. Simple enough.
