Yes, it wouldn’t be that hard to get a load of barcodes or QA codes from the home club that will work in their scanners and allocate them to mobile tickets as we sell them - we’d just be a reseller of said codes

ideas like that will get you the supporters liason job.

Not a chance surely they’ll not sell tickets online to non ST holders. It’s 2022 ffs

That’s what I thought, must be a mistake on the ticket page online. I can’t see why they’d only sell them at the ticket office.

CFC ticket page shows 107 standing tickets left for Altrincham.
Clearly CFC have to sell the tickets if they are going to honour the promise to prioritize season ticket holders.

I feel like that job may be more hassle than it’s worth

I agree with your first bit, but not the 2nd. The Club's announcement doesn't say that uncollected tickets will be available on match day. I've bought 2 tickets in the hope that they are available either on Friday or on Monday. It's all unclear. The Club's ticketing messages need to be much more clearer and comprehensive.

You're correct in what you say. I just spoke to a nice lady at the club shop / ticket office - and gave her some feedback on the wording on the site. I was told she had no control over the wording on the website as that was done 'higher up'... I explained thats not quite the point of feedback and given she works for the club surely she could let someone know it was leading to confusion... fell on deaf ears.

It's not necessarily mates, the club sometimes when ticket allocations are low, (ie solihull playoff game) prioritises tickets for fans that attend every away game, these are the people who spend much of their time travelling the country on cold wet Tuesday nites to support the team, surely you can't begrudge these their tickets?
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+

How does that work without a loyalty system in place?

I attend a lot of away games but not as many home games because I live so far away from Town. I’ve never been prioritised for an away ticket when the allocation is small? Yet I attend the majority of away games each season.

Non for a game like this I suspect. I know you have a bee in your bonnet about Solihull / Dorking tickets when I think it's common knowledge a % of the tickets made their way to regular travellers on the buses but I think games like Alty where we have enough for everyone are a different ball game

I have no inside info.
But I could understand if regular travelers were guaranteed a ticket as from a pure commercial standpoint the Club would benefit from selling coach seats as well.

If there is enough for everyone why did cfc have to get involved?

Ironically the one good thing they could do by selling away tickets is introduce a loyalty scheme but of course in this set up true loyalty is about who you know.

I'm sorry but I feel I must comment on this idea of tickets for "mates".
Surely the Club staff and players are entitled to a ticket should they want one.
Also I imagine many of the sponsor's contribute significant sums to the Club's finances.Again you cannot begrudge them a ticket.
Then I imagine there are several people who give their time freely in various capacities.

I will kick off the Loyalty Scheme with us Founder Members !

I can’t blame the club looking after the support that provides their bread and butter and I didn’t when I was exiled on the South Coast. Although it is nice to have a big away support it provides no income to the club.

A compressive loyalty scheme seems like a good idea and should be easy to implement as people are being ‘encouraged’ to buy online for home and away games through our ticket system. Strangely though I doubt it would move things forward that much as we’d end up with squabbles on here about what constitutes loyalty.

Indeed that was one of the arguments against a loyalty scheme as mentioned on one of the recent club podcast, i.e not being able to track cash sales both home and away.

Well as you point out the excuse is vanishing by the minute. Perhaps it is all part of a master plan

The problem is the club is so inept at these things its keeping the negative aspects of this situation and ignoring the potential positives.

I doubt they can find their bottom with both hands.

Just got tickets online, saying 96 left - assume there are more held for general off line sales?

I'm a founder member aswell but we all got diddled with that one! We got nothing out of it , they even stopped the free entry to pre season games after about 1 season when on the leaflet when we signed up I'm sure it said for life!!

Don’t we get a handling fee for tickets sold at the club? It’s only small but I’m sure we do

I fully agree we should have a basic loyalty scheme. 250 points for a ST, 20 points for an away, 10 for a home, 20 for a home cup tie or whatever
