Where would Tshimanga fit in at the moment

Where does Rowe fit in? We have real alternatives to select a specific team to play anyone.

There’s absolutely no reason to bring Covolan back in at all.

Would be 3 for 3 and clear at the top but for his actions. Fitz’s to lose now

2-0 up at 80 mins and we were playing like we were losing 1-0. Really enjoyed that.

That is the thing that will get us promoted. How many times I've seen us ease off the gas toward the end of the game then lose.

All the extra hard work in pre season training to get supremely fit pays off in spades.

This side has quality all over the pitch. We made a promotion favourite side look ordinary, Well done PC and the team.

The shirt is Fitzsimon's to lose now.

The good thing about the squad is that we have 5 players on 1 goal a piece. Goals coming from all over the pitch, not reliant on 1 player. Partnerships are forming. Asante/Dobra, King/Horton, Banks/DJ. Mandeville appears to be playing a free role and Quigley well he is awesome this year.

Where would Tshimanga fit in at the moment

We had a good number of players not in the 16 last night - Covalan, Sheckleford, Clements, Cook, Miller, Rowe, Oleyeke, Uchegbulem, Gyasi, have I missed anyone? How do they get into the 16?

Except with RFs short term deal ends, unless we extend it obviously.

Has the length been stated?

Covolan will be back in before too long, I'm sure.

Thanks, initially I was going to say 10 were missing from the 16 but just couldn't think of the 10th name.

But, there's some decent players in those 10 too.

Pretty sure PC will arrange a game soon for them plus some of the ones on the bench that are only getting 10/15 minutes here and there.

Crowd were the 12th man last night. Well done everyone. Great atmosphere including W7, S5 brigade. Lifted the lads spirits. Makes a huge difference when the whole ground gets behind them. Obviously impacted their keeper in the 1st half as he was very shaky playing in front of the Kop. We need more of this. Need to make the Technique a hostile and nervy place for opposing teams to come and play.

Most complete and exciting to watch performance in 7 or 8 years.

You could genuinely make a case for 6/7 MoM's which is outrageous.

Going to give my shoutout to the unsung Oldaker who seems like the complete package, reads the game well, tackles hard, picks passes and has the stamina do to do it all for 90 minutes - what a find he is.

Paul Cook is making good on his promise, this is a team you actually want to sit and watch week in week out regardless of results.

Agree with that, especially the reference to Oldaker. That brilliant tackle near the end when Mullin was going clear in our area, was superb - Bobby Moore would have been proud of that one.

Proper tackle that, I thought for sure they were about to bag. Fantastic covering. Really like the look of him, nowt flashy just keeps it steady like Jimmy used to.

Unbelievable tackle by Oldaker.

I’m going to be controversial for some and say as soon as possible Kabongo will replace Quigley. Whilst Quigley has certainly played better he doesn’t carry anywhere near the same goal threat, his shots on goal lack any real power and for a tall lad his ability to direct headers on target is pretty poor. Last night he played well, he pressed, he’s holding the ball up much better, he was running all over the pitch, and despite not scoring he played really well. BUT ask yourself this - when you see him with the ball near the goal do you have confidence he’ll score? Because unfortunately I don’t

Not at all. I've been happy that he's picked his performances up but still zero confidence of a goal. And I wouldn't say he's been awesome either, he's just doing the things I expect a target man to do like hold the ball up and pass it short. For me it's as simple as do we want the guy who bags for fun or the guy who doesn't, it's an easy answer.

I wudn't say thats a controversial statement.........i think most people would want a 20-30 goal a season Kabongo back in to replace Quigley when he is ready.
