Not looking good weatherwise could it get posponed at the last minute.

It’s absolutely hammered it down at Newton for the last hour and although it’s easing off a bit now the forecast for the whole night is rain, heavy at times.

Not a chance.

It'll just save us watering the pitch although I still wouldn't be surprised to see the sprinklers on prematch

Forecast to be 50% chance of light rain during the game and the rain radar backs that up
Accentuate th Positive, eliminate the negative

Could be abandoned though… or more likely a break in play due to amount of water or the lightning

Could be either team. If we can impose a quick passing on the floor/clever movement style, it could be very difficult for their defenders to turn, intercept etc. On the other hand, if they are allowed to get crosses into the box for big men to attack, our defenders could struggle. It all depends which team manages to impose their pattern on the game. I think it could be a high-scoring match with us coming out on top.

How will travelling away fans be affected coming over the Pennines/Peak District ? Get ready for the early call off for their benefit.
God I hate this league.

Behave....not a chance this will be called off, matches have been played in far worse weather than this and away fans have had to travel through worse as well....And I'm yet to have heard of a game to be called off because a few fans can't make the game, they knew the weather reports from last Friday were saying that we'd have thunderstorms and heavy rain from today.

It’**** and miss. No rain at Rowsley until just before 6pm and it’s stopped now, although I can hear thunder in the distance to the east. Two minutes wait only at Baslow temporary traffic lights this afternoon.

Localised flooding too.

A few leaks have sprung in the ground too. Time for a bit of maintenance me thinks.

With National League referees track records of sending players off (especially ours) Its something I am not relishing.

Gary Roberts is almost a clone of Cookie in his 1866 interview, slightly different accent but says very similar things.
