Southend’S New Stand Sponsor-Oops

Story tonight that Southend will rename their West Stand, only days after renaming it after a sponsor.
They sold naming rights for the West Stand at their Roots Hall ground to estate agents Gilbert & Rose, now when fans want to buy a ticket, the stadium plan shows availability in the Gilbert & Rose West Stand.
Oh dear. Reminds me of the episode of Joe Wilkinson’s ‘Rovers’ - when one Sidney Bell sponsored one of the goal ends- The Bell End.
