He did everything the others did, but they didn't do the normal thing with shooting practice while I was watching, and I don't think I missed anything. He did full out sprints across the width of the pitch with just a coach and was going flat out.
I personally don't expect him to start games just yet, but to be eased in when the time is right and he is mentally ready - Wrexham kicking the hell out of him to see how he fancies it is an example of what he can do without just yet.

Can someone nail Mullin in the first minute, worth a sending off?

Just thinking bigger picture.

If Dave Caldwell was still around, he'd need no instructions...

Alternatively, PC could sign some local thug or someone just released from prison, just for one week to perform the task.

Having just watched the highlights and for someone who has been critical of him in the past I have to say how well Mandeville took his goal. The move reminded me of the one which led to Quigley's goal in the play-offs. More movement and end results like that from Liam and he might just become the player I thought JS had signed.

Apart from Banks & Horton I thought Quigley & Asante looked decent too.

Can’t agree more, very encouraging. I nearly had tears in my eyes for the 1st & 3rd goals. Very solid in midfield on the face of it as well but with the opposition we’ve played so far it’s difficult to judge the defence though I was pleasantly pleased to hear from PT that both Grimes and Williams had gained a yard or two off the mark

Why were we in an all blue kit?

It's going to be all blue from what I was told. All blue at home and all Green away👍

Just seen the highlights, I assume the club shop will soon be stocking CFC branded hair scrunchies, given our level of man-buns on show?!

I can see Gyasi, Quigley and Asante both netting into double fugues each next campaign, that’s even before you factor in Rowe and Kabby returning.

In fact I’d be intrigued to find out top scorer odds on Gyasi next season.

Asanti getting back to his best but I think Cook has him leaving. If that’s the case that would be harsh for the lad who is really doing it atm.
God I hate this league.

Do folk think it was a 4-4-2?

I couldn't work it out 'cos Dobra and Mandeville were quite narrow alot of time to leave room for the fullbacks in the 'speed lanes'. What a great phrase.

Asante seemed to me to be right up there with Quigley.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Was happy with what I saw from the game…was at Matlock but this was different gravy. Will assume this will be the starting eleven. You can see cookies DNA and guess it will only get better as the season progresses.
Exciting times and I’m hopefully optimistic that this could be something special.

Personally I think the all blue looks good and wish we’d keep the all red away, just seem to do better somehow and look like a proper team. All green not doing it for me.
Guess it doesn’t really matter and will change again in due course.

Love the green this year, looks very slick and a nice change to the red.

I genuinely didn’t notice but we did look smart I thought - the new shirt is a significantly better shade of blue.

yeh at least we're in the right coloured shirt this season but it's gotta be white shorts at home.

I think this is the first time I've seen or heard or even imagined a Town fan say this. Fair enough. Had it a few seasons now, it's the right time to rest it IMO. Overdue a white away kit for sure.

Red away kits for teams who play in blue at home should be banned. Awful.

This could be a thread in its own right, best CFC away kits of all time?
