If you acknowledge that the positioning of the bogs cause crowding and discomfort in the concourses then it's a fair conclusion that those conditions affect sales. My personal experience is that I get in one queue or the other, not both.

Sales should also be much quicker.

I think he suggested that there was actually too many people in the queue to get served in a timely fashion given the slow service and poor stocking. That was my experience the last time I was in the West Stand and therefore not related to the position of the bogs.

The awful service has been developing over a number of years in all stands as crowds dwindled. As far as I'm aware the bogs haven't moved in 12 years

I'm amazed you haven't voiced concern about the amount of wages we still have tied up in unavailable players. That is not an invitation by the way.

I'd probably take third spot at the moment

It is a concern. The sooner we get Guunning, Miller & Laurence off the payroll the better. I suspect this is holding up any further transfer activity.

I’ve been told the Trust are very keen to take on Tapton house it’s about 200 metres from the footy pitch that used to be up there and there’s room for a second pitch.

I’m still not really convinced but it would make a great base for the Trust. Lots of classrooms and accommodation.

Fascinating.
I've not been up there for 55 years but my recollection of that pitch is that it was .....erm.......on a gradient. I might be wrong though. Wouldn't conversion work cost a fortune?

Two different types of players, Gyasi showed very little at Matlock.

Ok, it's all a bit tongue in cheek based on my optimism.
They are actually very similar types. Both very strong on the ball, both functional out wide, both put a shift in defensively. My first impression is that Gyasi has more pace. He missed two chances at Matlock in his cameo. It remains to be seen whether that particular bit of his game is problematic.

Meanwhile, in suggesting that Gyasi may be ahead of Asante as a sub for Tshimanga, I'm taking into account first that Crooty said very clearly that Asante remains on the transfer list, and secondly that I think Cook signed Gyasi as Asante's replacement. I don't think that's all that astounding.

No, the pitch is flat. I do know that planning permission will be granted to demolish the nursery and associated buildings which could easily add space for another pitch. As far as I am aware if the Let was taken it would cost Ł70,000 a year.

It would be possible to turn into an Academy with accommodation but it depends if the finances I suppose.

He probably does have more pace in a straight line over 50 yards without the ball, but is he quicker over 5/10 with it?

Realistic as opposed to pessimistic. Also without Kabby i think we will struggle to score goals. And if you want more Wrexham and Solihull have stronger squads. 3rd at best.

Blimey doom merchant before we even start and would not have liked to be in the trenches with you

They have signed Josh Kelly but have lost three forwards. Guess it depends if they can hold on to Dallas. Wo else have they signed?

Isn't most of it for public use?

It was, but our rubbish council have decided to sell it. The park will be unaffected but the house and grounds are for sale/let.

Not too sure about that, I was told that a group had got together with a legal challenge as the Stevenson family left it to the people of Chesterfield and so the council has no right to sell it.

It was the Markham family that gifted it to the Borough of Chesterfield.

They bought it following George Stephenson‘s death.

There are two remaining members of the Markham family who had family ties to the house living in the US but they have shown no interest.

The group you are talking about are the “friends of Tapton House”, when I chatted to them (by email) a couple of days ago they seemed convinced that the council would sell the property.

My initial thoughts were where the youth players train up Dronfield. Big space and pitches already set up with (I think) changing facilities. Loads of potential and not a million miles away.

I'm also not itk. Anything I find out is generally on here or twitter chat.

The way Crooty emphasised on Radio Sheffield that is was within North Derbyshire, leaves me to believe it's either Dronfield or Calow and not Tapton

Or, could it be Corbriggs?
