King doesn't get dropped. Either fits in at RB or moved further forward.

In a 4-2-3-1 where does he fit ‘further forward’? Would you pick him ahead of Khan?

Based on numbers all day long. Smaller teams I'd play him FB, bigger teams on the right wing. Can't deny his goals/assists.

Don't get me wrong though, Khan's a baller.

Smaller teams you’d play him full back?

It doesn’t matter if we’re playing the Harlem Globetrotters or the Oompa Loompas, King cannot defend and cannot be the RB in a back 4.

The only dilemma for me is if he fits into the 3 behind (hopefully) Tschimanga.

Love the optimism.
But Cookies squad will need time to gel/play together.
Anyone expecting win after win etc might need to wait a while

Khan doesn't enter the conversation if everyone's fit, he has to be behind Cooper, Gyasi, Clarke and Rowe in the three and behind Oyeleke, banks and Oldaker in the two.

King could potentially do a job on the wing but completely untested so it's all speculation. We know he's not great at FB even though he's been alright going forwards. Sheckleford has been brought on for a reason.

Start King, Sheckers needs to earn his place

King done nothing wrong

I was going to say rubbish but King has limitations - tackling, recovery, temperament which gives fouls where opponents can load our 6 yard box. Not see Sheckelford so can’t argue a point but I would start him and get King as far forward as is possible.
God I hate this league.

Give over. Kahn is a baller. One of the only players we have who receives turns and runs fluidly

Agree, Khan is probably the best footballer on our books; he has good control, pace, passing ability, and he can finish. If the midfielders coming in are all better than Khan we'll walk it this season.

He’s one of the best I’ve seen at carrying the ball from midfield certainly at this level and probably the one above

Granted haven't seen much of Cooper and Gyasi, but off first impressions Khan is better than Gyasi and can probably be on par with Jack Clarke when both firing and consistent.

Khan is very good for the level we are at for all the capabilities you mention other than passing. I think this is an area which can be improved on as I haven't really seen him get his head up and pick a pass. He's better at running with the ball at pace rather than letting the ball do the work. Also, to cement a place in the team he needs to find away to be available with regularity as he seems to suffer from little fitness issues.

The holding midfielder would suit Oyekeke when ever he's fit, he was repeatedly caught on the ball towards the end of the season so it's vital he's used only when fit. Myself though I think he'll never get there consistently.

Let's hope the little operation he has recently undergone sorts the matter out for him because, without doubt, a fully fit Oleyeke would have a big part to play in our squad.

AA is definitely part of the training group looking at the pictures of them at Holmebrook earlier. I don’t want to see him go anywhere personally.

Not saying he's a bad player, but we've brought in new players in his position and Khan wasn't even playing every game in last year's side. We now have 2 new CMs, two wingers and Clarke/Rowe returning at CAM. He will perhaps tussle with oldaker for the second CM spot with Banks while Oyeleke is out but no chance when Oyeleke is fit. Further forward he'll get some games but he's not a winger and he's way behind Rowe, Cooper and Clarke IMO.

He was last season, but he's got more competition now. Hopefully that'll raise the game of everyone.

If we work on the basis that we may have only Grimes, Cook and Williams as central defenders next season I think maybe one more central defender ought to be recruited.
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.

The issues last season was the amount of injuries being carried. We ain’t seen any of the new guys in a competitive game so how you can judge anything is difficult to grasp.
