I'm not sure two people count as 'a few'.

They do at Borehamwood.

Totally agree, makes it even more baffling why a few on here want to castigate him even before a ball has been kicked.

Some had reservations simply on finances and whether the club could afford Cook’s plans. It seems with the Kirk Brothers input we can and so we await with interest.

Being backed by the DA millions showed just how easy debt can be accrued. People don’t forget all this and just because The Trust are steering things it doesn’t mean we’ve only good times to look forward with Cook.

In all walks of life you can’t please all the peasants all the time, there will be some people dead against his appointment come what May and who’ll continue their own crusade as the season continues. Baffling it ain’t , that’s how social media is.
God I hate this league.

Cook did use the technical term for what he'd had done but I cannot recall exactly what it was without listening back. I know it wasn't a stent
An ablation as I suspected. Its possible it didn't work first time so he's had to have it done again.

That is what I find baffling Dave.

The way our top spot dropped with results I think Tim it was justified no one if honest would have been pleased fresh season and were seeing a decent squad cooper especially if staying fit it's not that I'm not keen on him ,I know he's a good manager only time will tell this season

I wasn't pleased either but I didn't indulge in childish insults. Even a few days ago you were posting things like don't expect signings as it's Ascot week.
Cookie is the best manager in this league by a country mile and he will get us promoted either this season or next.

Was Cook’s update on Danny Rowe the first official comment that he is suffering with heart problems? It seems to have been common knowledge without ever being confirmed
Yes, I think it was.

Any news on Carline and asante

We've signed 2 right backs, so I don't think George will be offered a contract.
Akwasi will report back to training as, it appears, there's no imminent transfer.

It was noticeable during the Cook interview this morning, he made reference to Gyasi making up 4 strikers, in addition to Kabs, Danny Rowe and “Quigs”.

So it appears Asante not really in his plans even if no offers have come in for him.

Love Asante to stay if he can reach full fitness, he is a goalscorer. Gyasi is a good young signing but only scored 5 last year in 2 struggling sides, but he can play the wider role and hopefully he will produce more quality balls into the box than Miller. I trust Asante to come back strong and score goals along with Kabby, but I hopecQuigley shows is worth this season. It will be a massive bonus if Kabby, Rowe, Clarke and hopefully Carline can bounce back, what a squad of players that would be. We need to be rid of the injury jinx so that we can finish the season as champions. COYB.

Doubt we will see Asante or Carline in the team. I'd like to see Gyasi harassing defenders with high press.

Asante was fantastic at the time, but has been pretty poor since coming back from injury. We can’t afford to be nostalgic, so get rid.
