Maybe squeezing cash out of Wrexham. They do have the play-off cash.

Solihull had the option to extend his deal, assume they've done it in case an offer does come in.

So now it might be....

Loach
King Williams Grimes Clements
Oyeleke Khan
Gyasi, Rowe (Capt), Clarke
Tshimanga

Subs : Quigley, Whelan, Mandeville, Horton, Cook

bump, bump (potholes)
Know nowt about Sheckers but I can't believe we would have shopped in the NL for a RB unless he's a rate prospect. I'll be looking for pace and defensive doggedness.

So now it might be

Loach
Sheckleford Williams Grimes Clements
Oldaker Khan
King, Rowe (Capt), Clarke
Tshimanga

Subs : Quigley, Whelan, Mandeville, Horton, Cook
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Dobra, Banks, Cooper.. add just two of those and I seriously do fancy our chances again.

Cook chose Grimes as his captain last season. Unless he loses his place I'm not sure he'll change that.

Quigley is not the slouch you make him out to be. The trick is to arrive at the right time not to get there waiting.

His job should be to get into the box to get on the end of, hopefully, a better supply than he had last season. His finish from a quick attack in the play-offs shows he has such capabilities.

One thing that struck me about Shecker's youtube medley was the woeful performances of the various strikers. I don't think there was a single chance converted from all Shecker's good play. Compare that to the strikers in L1 in the Cooper video.

As long as he doesn't have to think about what he has to do when through on goal, he's fine.
His two goals were snapshots that were taken well.

To be fair. Your talking about a striker who was low on confidence desperate to score and was snapping at shots.
Maybe he'll be a bit more composed, especially if his main job is to be in the box waiting for crosses to come in rather than running into the channels and wrestling with defenders. If he stays hopefully he can show us why our ex boss paid good money for him.
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

You see, I don't agree with this "waiting for crosses to come in" which makes it easy for defenders to mark whichever forward we are talking about because they end up statically waiting and waiting. That has been a major problem with the supply line with the likes of Mandeville and King being too slow in the build up and crossing the ball. If the ball is whipped in more quickly with the forward arriving to attack the ball it makes it much more difficult to mark him.
