Dear All,

I am conducting some research on fans’ views regarding the place of politics in sports in contemporary society and I would really appreciate a few minutes of your time to complete an anonymous survey that is available via this link:

https://doit.az1.qua...6RUhPUDl3gMHoR8

I hope you agree it is a topical study and I thank you for your time.

Some great examples at present including Marcus Rashford, Trent Alexander Arnold etc. Basically the Tories hate it when role model working Class lads or lasses get involved and show them up for what they are and shout loudly "Sport and politics should not mix" Good luck in your studies

Quite interesting that Boris Johnson sent a good luck message to Rangers FC for their final last week, but didn't extend the same courtesy to Liverpool on Saturday. Possibly because he tried to carry on blaming their fans as late as 2004 for the Hillsborough tragedy. Also not a lot of condemnation of the French handling of the troubles arising from the total lack of control from police and stewards had and absolutely no acknowledgment that the good behaviour of the Liverpool fans stopped it becoming another footballing tragedy.

It’s never anything to do with Liverpool fans they are always just innocent and unlucky bystanders.

There are literally hundreds of videos of Liverpool fans being pepper sprayed by police for just standing there, of stewards closing gates for no reason etc. The same on the Madrid side. Loads of neutral journalists were also caught up in it and some also got sprayed for just being there. IMO the behaviour of the Liverpool fans actually prevented it turning into a tragedy, because they were calm and collected and didn't riot when they would actually have been within their rights to after being treated like animals.
