Glad to hear the confirmation of a long term contract, but the talk of if a bigger club come calling appears a little contradictory. The standard Chairman line is usually ‘he’s signed a contract and he’s going nowhere’ - after which a substantial compensation package is agreed and does in fact go elsewhere.
It does smack of a tacit agreement we won’t stand in his way.

It doesn’t really need saying. Clubs don’t generally stand in the way of managers looking to leave but the contract gives PC security should we choose to sack him (which I believe isn’t going to happen) and us some financial recompense should be wave him goodbye.

Refreshing and reassuring Mr Goodwin. you've got your finger on the pulse and, quite rightly, the supporters have turned up in their numbers. The club is going the right way and in the right hands. Interesting to hear about the spire lottery and its low take up.

You call it a cliche but what do you want him to say? If he turned round and said that he was happy getting 6000+ crowds in the NL you would spit your cornflakes out. We asked for the Trust to be more public and yet play it down what they are saying? What do you want from the interview?

Just a response to folk saying what a good interview it was> it wasn't imho it was just a bog standard interview and hardly a rallying call. Is that ok?

Barnsley want a coach to look after the team, Cook wouldn't get much of a say in incomings.
