You want them to be true don't you.

Do me a favour. Next season when he takes us to the top of the table, comeback on here and slag him off. Don't be two faced and sit in the stands chanting his name with the rest of us.

Hang on, they've lost 28 games out of 46 so to only lose one in every two would be an improvement.

It should be perfectly obvious to anyone that this squad is not good enough, whether Cook has stated this fact himself or not. There are too many passengers, too many lightweights and too many players who know full well they are not capable of playing at a higher level, even if you manage to accept they are good enough for this level. The wheels were coming loose before Rowe departed the scene and while injuries have not helped, what they have done is highlight the shortcomings of the remainder of the squad. I don,t think Cook has helped himself by insisting on playing three at the back,a system that requires discipline and people who are comfortable with it. The defence has been cruelly exposed on numerous occasions by a midfield that is lightweight and most of the time cannot even get the basics right. Whether Cook is the right man to solve these problems remains to be seen. I have always advocated choosing a manager who knows the league you are competing in but I think Cook deserves a full season to put matters right.

So we get half way through next season with Cook's players and we are nowhere near the play-offs what happens then?

Do we bring in another manager, who fails like Cook has this season, but make the excuses that he'll get it right next season when he has had the chance to bring in his own players?

I seriously hope not. Either Cook has to commit for next season and stop listening to offers from other Clubs or he goes once this season has ground to a halt. Performances, and his post-match interviews, have been an embarrassment and shown with regularity on TV. So, it's up to him and the Trust to come clean on this one so that the supporters know what the situation is.

But that's a chance you take with any manager. The Trust are trying to build stability within the club, it's only the supporters that want the manager sacked because we don't win every match.
Why do supporters demand to know stuff? It doesn't make the slightest bit of difference to the seat you sit in when watching matches, it doesn't make your halftime drink any sweeter or your pie filling anymore fuller. As supporters we had an opportunity through Zorro to purchase the club from Dave Allen but when push come to shove the funds weren't put in. If they were and we found that we owned a share in the club then people would have had a right to have their questions answered but it didn't happen so it's not any of our business to judge how the Trust are handling their business.
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

Not saying it’s the same for one bit; but it’s a good job folk didn’t say that under the last regime.

That's true. But it was more the point that as supporters we had an opportunity and didn't take it, but some still demand to know things that don't concern them.

It is our business (figuratively and literally).

The Trust is always banging on about serving the community and now they have taken on the responsibility of the running the club using public money. They might get away with secrecy when things are going splendidly but it is a different matter when things aren’t. Take this horrible thread for starters. They need to remember that when it comes to selling season tickets or the next time they get their begging bowls out.

No reason for secrecy regarding contract lengths of players and management.

.... but it was the trust who uttered the immortal words " Open and Transparent " when they took tenure. No one is asking to know Joe Bloggs salary or how much mark up they put on the beer. However we have a right to ask where they are taking us and how they intend to do it. After all, let's not forget the people running the club have the same financial investment in it as you and I. Absolutely zero

Of course supporters should be kept in the loop with everything what's going on with the club , we pay our money every season , without us where would the club be? The trust like others over the years are running the club but it is our club aswell , we've helped the club to survive over the years , I have shares in the club like I'm sure others on this board have. So yes we have every right to know what's going on. For a start all this rubbish about Cook's contract , just tell us then it stops all these rumours and everybody knows then where we stand.

"We pay our money every season, without us where would they be" - Does that mean you demand to know how Tesco run their business?
Your a customer at every business you go to, if they choose to tell you how funds are invested then fair enough but ultimately we are all customers of the club and the Trust choose to divulge what they want, when they want and how they want. Having said that though, you say that your a shareholder, as a shareholder I believe that you or any other shareholder has a right to ask questions and get answers.

If this rumour is a load of rubbish (highly likely) then Cook stays and rebuilds in his style (if the money is there) if he doesn't and he's gone by tomorrow that leaves Webb to get them ready for next Saturday and the play offs,is that a win win?
