It was a mystifying signing, especially as such a journeyman (16 clubs inc 10 National League clubs?!) but today he was appalling. He actively hid. We launched a stream of long balls and he literally hid, either pulling out wide or inexplicably dropping into midfield to watch the ball sail over his head, when he's clearly, or loosely, the target for the long hoofs. And when the ball did come into him he couldn't even make basic lay-offs. I know Asante is short of match fitness and sharpness but it's bewildering that Quigley has come straight into the side.

Did we buy him online or in store? Different laws for each kind of purchase.

Didn't we hand him a 2.5 year contract to boot?

Is the misconduct charge against Rowe because he signed Quigley? I have been very disappointed with what I’ve seen so far with him. Really hope he comes good as I want to fully support all CFC players

From what I saw of him tonight (and that wasn't a lot) Denton would probably be a better option if we're going to play that way, at least he'd try and challenge for headers to knock down for Tshimanga rather than ducking out of the way.....not seen anyone get shorter for headers since Bruno! But we need to get Oyeleke back and someone to replace Clarke and play through the middle again instead of over it.

To be fair I didn’t think he had a bad game last week at home v Aldershot. He held it up well and won a few free kicks..
Is he a world beater though? No..
I’d say give the lad a chance and see what happens…

Wonder what he’s thinking, signed for manager who he hopes will improve him as a player who is then suspended

I agree Quigley struggled today but the service to him was poor indeed. Then, when you mention being shorter for headers that's exactly how I saw big Tom last Saturday when he came on. And, last Saturday I didn't think Quigley had to bad a game at all just that the ref thought every time he was in a 50:50 tussle it was a foul against him.

Let's give the lad a chance, he had hardly trained with the team last week then, on Monday, the guy who signed him barely 4 days earlier got suspended and the club and supporters thrown into turmoil.

At 6'4 he should be putting himself about, a handful for defenders to deal with.
Agree though that the service for the strikers was chronic. No midfield.

Completely agree. Quigley did well against Aldershot despite being unfairly targeted by the ref. Not seen today's performance, but going from radio commentary, most of our players were poor, so give him a chance to settle in and show what he can do.

Errmmm , we can't afford for him to start shining in a couple of months.especially when we're starting with him. Wouldn't get a game on the park at Grassmoor in the morning.

the quigley signing reminds me of when sheridan signed barry conlon, it just didn't seem to fit with what we'd be doing for the majority of the season. i'd kinda creditted rowe with having better judgement but early days i suppose, wasn't at all impressed today though

Sorry, he didn’t do well against Aldershot!

Yes I was there…. As I have been for most of the games this season. He didn’t do well last week and he didn’t do well tonight. Fact. And what concerns me most is that Asante was dropped tonight for him and played in a bizarre position last week. Please tell me why I’m wrong, assuming you were there.

By the way great win tonight and quality goal and support
