Why?

Kevin Randall
Dave Rushbury
Lee Richardson
Tommy Wright
Guy Branston
John Pemberton

And I'm sure I've missed a few names which are reasons Webb should not be made manager.
It's never worked for us and it won't work this time.

We've got a few quid push the boat out and get Cooke 'til the end of the season.
Keep the momentum going and let PC rebuild his reputation.

Sit down at end of season and assess.

Win win for both paries

Yes, that's actually the case.

There's a catalogue of issues-

Refused to put he/him on his Twitter bio
Said he disagreed with taking the knee
Wouldn't accept his privilege for being white and middle class

On a serious note, if the complaint centres around conduct towards one of the protected categories in the Equality Act then the Club is in a very tricky position and has to take this seriously.
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.

Is there any betting markets for the next manager? I guess not, until the announcement is made that Rowe has left (assuming that is what happens)

If JR does leave then why not bring Paul Cook back until the end of the season with the target of automatic promotion? Then both sides can sit down a review the situation at the end of the season. The players we already have would suit Cooks style of play and hopefully he could if required sign a couple just to see us through. It would be a positive coming out of a massive negative and might just lift the gloom.

Spot on.

As this is the 'who do you want next' thread, I'll lodge my opinion that I definitely wouldn't want Cook. I have my reasons but it's a bit early to articulate them at this point.
I will though suggest that PC preferred environment would be to have Carson in charge of finances rather than Andy Fantom.

I think that would be the case for the majority of managers. They aren't that interested in the detail as long as the tap is on.

There's nothing to suggest Andy Fantom has been anything but generous with the finances for new players

I'm still living in hope there is a way forward with James Rowe.

Generosity is not the issue. Anyway, enough said.

I think its fair to say that Rowe has had plenty of freedom to bring players in and not on a cheap budget, lets not forget the start of Cook leaving was pretty much when DA\AC wouldnt stump up £50k for Daniel Johnson whilst recently as a non league club we've forked out £250k on a player and numerous others have been brought in for a fee.

I think it will be a drawn out saga, not resolved quickly....so we have to have a contingency plan in place or our season will be de-railed

IMHO the longer it’s drawn out the least likely it is that JR returns to his post. Again IMHO, if this was a minor issue it would have been resolved very quickly without need for any public announcement. The fact, for me, that he’s been officially suspended and both Radio Sheffield and the DT have sought clarification that it may also be a police matter doesn’t bode well for his future at the club.

Hypothetically if it’s a Police matter could the club to put JR on gardening leave until the end of the season, appoint an interim or someone to work with Webb and come back to the matter in the summer?

i'd think if it looks like it can't/won't be resolved quickly something like you suggest would be the case.
and it least on gardening leave he could help sort the state of the pitch out :sunglasses
