That's just it. I cant see that we have anyone on the Board who wants to play Billy Big Whatsits. Nor can I see anyone with a temper to match that (we keep hearing) of JR. The Board wont want to be cutting off their noses to spite their faces, we have to believe if there's a way back for him, they will find it, and if not it will be the right decision for the right reasons.

Doubtful, if he was suspended on Monday he should be given 5 full days to prepare for the meeting and can request longer if required. If dismissed he gets 2 weeks to appeal. We can replace him during the appeal but it's a bit embarrasing if he wins and gets his job back.
I would imagine he's being represented by a laywer who is an expert in employment law from the LMA so it might drag on a bit.

Bust ups with players and being a bit sweary on the touch line are very unlikely to lead to a suspension
How’s about we wait for the facts to come out and go from there, if it’s with a new manager then so be it, we’ll still have one of the best squads in the division to mount a promotion push

To be hoped its doesn't take as long as the 'Harry Potter on Broadway' case quoted by The Whistler. Two months that took to complete!

The Board wont want to be cutting off their noses, but they must also be wary about the risk of getting them bitten off

I think that judgement has already been made. It's unlikely that all can ever return to normal, whatever the final resolution. Would Rowe accept having been suspended if there ended up being no case to answer? Would all the players be on the same side of the argument whether Rowe stayed or went? There are influential players who made the move to follow Rowe. It suggests that it's so serious that fans on the board with both eyes on promotion, have had to make a decision they really didn't want to make.

This is a big deal, of course people are going to discuss it and put their theories across, that's what a forum is all about. It's like saying don't discuss the Eastleigh game until we know the final score.
If you don't like it, don't read it. You are not being forced to believe anything written on the thread so stop acting like a baby.
Of course we won't know anything for certain until an announcement is made but folk should be able to discuss what's gone on and say what they think may have happened.

Yeah but you'd made your mind up without knowing facts hadn't you.

All I've ever heard is that James Rowe has transformed the club with a long defeatest, pessimistic culture with unhappy, demoralised staff, to one having a bright future with motivated staff where everyone pulls together and contributes to our current success.
Whatever the cause, the board have a responsibility, indeed a duty of care to its employees, whether they be disgruntled ex-employees, or otherwise, including the manager. Whether they were right to suspend him, the jury is out until more is known. Suspension seems a drastic step to make but is not necesarily an indication of a dismissal offence. so we need to stop guessing and drawing conclusions from gossip. The board acted wisely in appointing him. They now need to act wisely in dispensing support to all concerned.
