Its a funny ole game innit !!! Top of the league, good FA Cup run which put some £'s in the coffers, great support home and away, re-rejuvenated crowds, renewed invigoration, energy and enthusiasm in the Club, community and fans....seemingly the club on a massive upwards turn in all directions and then this happens. I, for one am speechless. Dont know why, what or how this has happened but all I know is I still want that current feeling of our beloved club to continue. Hope this all gets sorted sharpish for all our sakes, club, community, fans and everyone. I dont wanna lose JR (Im sure many thousands of others dont) we dont know the mitigating circumstances - if its something really bad and unacceptable then we will accept the Boards decision and he will have to go. But if not lets draw a line in the sand, brush ourselves down, accept apologies and move onwards and upwards together.
There aint no Soul left in these old shoes... since you've been gone

That's just it. I cant see that we have anyone on the Board who wants to play Billy Big Whatsits. Nor can I see anyone with a temper to match that (we keep hearing) of JR. The Board wont want to be cutting off their noses to spite their faces, we have to believe if there's a way back for him, they will find it, and if not it will be the right decision for the right reasons.

Well I’m at ground and we’ve got light on pitch trying to get the grass to grow. More thrilling updates as and when.

There might be some news before the weekend.

Doubtful, if he was suspended on Monday he should be given 5 full days to prepare for the meeting and can request longer if required. If dismissed he gets 2 weeks to appeal. We can replace him during the appeal but it's a bit embarrasing if he wins and gets his job back.
I would imagine he's being represented by a laywer who is an expert in employment law from the LMA so it might drag on a bit.

***** sake this thread is a car crash of ridiculous theories and look at me I’m in the know but can’t tell you where from nonsense

Bust ups with players and being a bit sweary on the touch line are very unlikely to lead to a suspension

How’s about we wait for the facts to come out and go from there, if it’s with a new manager then so be it, we’ll still have one of the best squads in the division to mount a promotion push

To be hoped its doesn't take as long as the 'Harry Potter on Broadway' case quoted by The Whistler. Two months that took to complete!

The Board wont want to be cutting off their noses, but they must also be wary about the risk of getting them bitten off :)

Any decision to sack him will not be made lightly...the guys making the decision are as big a fans of the club as we are on here. They want to see us winning and back in the football league, if they deem it necessary that Rowe should leave then it suggests it was the only decision that could be made.

I think that judgement has already been made. It's unlikely that all can ever return to normal, whatever the final resolution. Would Rowe accept having been suspended if there ended up being no case to answer? Would all the players be on the same side of the argument whether Rowe stayed or went? There are influential players who made the move to follow Rowe. It suggests that it's so serious that fans on the board with both eyes on promotion, have had to make a decision they really didn't want to make.

This is a big deal, of course people are going to discuss it and put their theories across, that's what a forum is all about. It's like saying don't discuss the Eastleigh game until we know the final score.

If you don't like it, don't read it. You are not being forced to believe anything written on the thread so stop acting like a baby.

Of course we won't know anything for certain until an announcement is made but folk should be able to discuss what's gone on and say what they think may have happened.

All I've ever heard is that James Rowe has transformed the club with a long defeatest, pessimistic culture with unhappy, demoralised staff, to one having a bright future with motivated staff where everyone pulls together and contributes to our current success.

Whatever the cause, the board have a responsibility, indeed a duty of care to its employees, whether they be disgruntled ex-employees, or otherwise, including the manager. Whether they were right to suspend him, the jury is out until more is known. Suspension seems a drastic step to make but is not necesarily an indication of a dismissal offence. so we need to stop guessing and drawing conclusions from gossip. The board acted wisely in appointing him. They now need to act wisely in dispensing support to all concerned.

I’ve made my mind up that it’s something serious. I haven’t said he’s done this or done that, however if someone wants to put what they think may have happened then they should.

Just seen a post saying it’s been reported on radio Sheffield that they don’t think it’s just a club investigation, it’s more serious than that. Wasn’t listening myself so apologies if the post I’ve seen is incorrect.
