Wasn't there some comments about the pitch in the Aldershot post match interview.
Has he said his piece rather forcibly to the powers that be ?

Forcibly speaking his mind is one thing but getting suspended? Nah, there’s an allegation he’s crossed a line here somewhere and the club have done the right thing.
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.

Just a question. If rowe comes back in are we all going to support him? Seems most here have already made their mind up before any investigation.

Absolutely.

He has obviously been accused of something very serious but that doesn't mean he is guilty even if he is an arrogant ******

But, on Saturday, Whittle was sat on the bench and came on as a sub which suggests Alex was still in the manager's plans after Tuesday night.

And he appeared in the 2nd half some 15 minutes after the tirade and more pertinently with no apparent facial damage and an adequate replacement in Millar still on the bench

The sad thing is that the bloke has such potential and he was given a fantastic opportunity to put himself in the shop window and propel himself forward at a rate of knots.

We all assume one thing or another about what’s happened, personally I believe he has had a previous warning and this is the last straw. If that is the case he has no one to blame but himself, this could be a disaster for his career in football management, surely he’s not that arrogant that he believes this won’t affect his immediate future.

He has a partner and a young nipper, I can’t help but ask why he would knowingly put himself in this position.

Damn straight. Whilst that video makes him look an absolute gobsh*te at best, it's decidedly unlikely to be the reason for his suspension. A lot of people in football are wangs, yknow.

Seems the Denton account which re-tweeted the Gloucester posting of the Rowe video at Maidenhead was not Tom Denton’s real account, so apologies for that. Never quite got to grips with Twitter. Buchanan certainly said his piece, though received some inevitably bone-headed replies in return.
These go to eleven.

Ian - football isn’t like the normal work environment (it should be) but employment law isn’t adhered to at all.
People are sacked all the time with no HR involved etc. Many clubs don’t have an HR department and very few use HR consultants.
I made the mistake a couple of times after another previous career with sh77 hot HR rights etc to expect similar in football. I’m sure the Trust guys background though would be a bit more clued up than many clubs tbh and probably are doing the proper process.

I think as a community charity they will be dealing with it professionally with appropriate advice. I'd also expect an intelligent manager with a young family to be straight off to a solicitor for compensation if they didnt do it right. The days of being able to pretend you can ignore the law are well behind us. Money talks, and a settlement agreement is always the way to get rid of someone when you cant legally manage it, but that costs.... and we dont want to waste money!

Assuming of course the investigation finds any wrong doing and the club wish to part ways, lots of ifs in there....

Said his piece? He did a sh**ty veiled tweet. If you’ve got summat to say come out and say it. Explain what happened or keep quiet (and if you don’t do either, expect some stick).

There are a lot of assumptions going on. I'd say if the Trust have been made aware of that twitter post they have to do something, as its could be deemed to reflect badly on the club. But we dont know and we wont ever know the full details probably - there will be an outcome and the detail will remain confidential.....

So lets hope the club do a full investigation, the facts are obtained, a non knee jerk reaction is arrived at with due thought and if necessary appropriate actions to mitigate a repeat, and leave it at that...

He would get a new club in the blink of an eye in my opinion - without mentioning any names several in the game have done time and still walked back in. Good managers are like gold dust. I think we should wait and see what the facts are.

We have a very measured Board of Directors, I’m sure they haven’t rushed into a rash decision that could see us lose a very good manager. It’s something serious, a last straw or, has Rowe engineered it all as he has a new club lined up?

Sheridan got plenty of jobs after his incredible tirade at that lino - including "I'm gonna knock you out you c**t" - so yeah, Rowe will walk into other jobs.

If hes got a new club lined up then its not very good publicity for whoever he is going to. The welcome press conference would be a bit awkward.
