Cook might not be the same without Richardson (and Mitchell) but I'd try for him, even if it might be a long shot.

Weren't there a few issues in respect of Cook's behaviour?

I’d be fine. Believe.

Can’t see him coming back from this one. Just readying myself for it.

Don't you think his dad might have something to say about that?

Cook may relish the challange especially if offered a 'white charger' on which to come to our rescue. Plus he could use all the dosh that wouldn't be wasted on paying compo, for the other mentioned candidates

We've already got a decent assistant here though. Richardson will never be Cookys assistant again cos by the looks of it he is manager material now.
Cooky has gotta learn how to cope without Richardson, the team is a good bunch and (like I've said) we have a perfectly capable assistant manager who knows the teams capabilities.
If (and it's a MASSIVE IF) Cooky would come back the buzz around the club and supporters would grow. For a short term deal it kinda makes sense.
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

There would be a huge buzz if Cookie walked out at the next home game.

I'll say it again. A big fat no to Webb getting the job beyond Saturday if it becomes available.

I think we missed the boat after his treatment last time he showed an interest in Town but I’d be after Nicky Cowley!

Kev Davies will be having a big input though I guess again this time. So my guess would be an approach for Keith Hill……

Played 12, won , drew 1, lost 9...

Yes the club had just lost its manager in tragic circumstances but still that was bad for a team that was top of the league

I doubt the Trust would want to go down that route

Not many times I can say it, Ernie, but for once I agree with you.

Some of Cook's behaviour was an embarrassment and I am not in the queue to see his return.

It seems that some have already made their minds up that we will be in the market for a new manager any time soon. Perhaps it's best we wait until the Trust has completed it's investigations, considered it's findings, and formed a conclusion first.

But, if the conclusion is that JR is not going to continue in his role I would be in favour of bringing in a manager that knows the league we are in not one that has just failed in a league we aspire to.

You make some sense in this but he got sack from Ipswich when they were just outside the playoffs. It's a bit harsh to say he failed when the season hadn't even finished.
