And they of course will both have unbiased opinions....

Im not passing an opinion either way. Like posts above, I’m only going on what we know. We know there is an unflattering video circulating. We know that he has been suspended. We know that there is an investigation. We know that an ex player and the father of a player released have commented. That’s it.

So they have interviewed all interested parties, reviewed cctv footage, circulated the notes of meetings, reconvened to consider the evidence and reached a decision in 3.5 hours?

I would say they need to give people 24 hours notice of any interviews post suspension so unlikely....

Think this is the reason why. Clear profanity and threats

Profanity is the industrial language of football. Threats of 'moving on' if you don't improve ditto. Anyone who has seen the John Sitton and the Leyton Orient rant will know.

Gonna say summat no one else has yet - well done to the Board.

Okay, the allegations may be so serious they'd no choice. But given the circumstances it would've been more than easy to look the other way. Or brush it under the carpet. Or smear a convenient scapegoat. Infact do pretty much what many suspected was so often done as Town slid into the cess pit of sleaze.

As for Rowe, I'm sad to say I can only echo the sense of inevitability emanating from others. Let's be clear; JR can't be a total ogre as a succession of players have performed well enough for him to deliver success. However there's been a troubling 'underground car park' narrative of ugly behaviour too. To the point it's no surprise to witness a wry satisfaction in certain quarters.

All we can hope for now is a speedy conclusion. If Rowe's gotta go then get him gone and appoint a replacement. If this can be settled somehow amicably then do so and re-focus on football (though I find it impossible to see how the Club and manager can simply carry on as before).

Either way let's remember there're legal implications here, the possibility of a victim who needs to be taken seriously and, equally importantly, an accused who ought to be viewed innocent until proven guilty.

Though most of all this us the time for everyone to remember CFC's good name, so casually disregarded and discarded over previous years, must come first. And if it means losing a promotion chasing boss to do that, then so be it...
m

Yeah agree with that. Football is full of chancers, rogues and people who act without integrity. Our board have acted with integrity.

Now if the outcome is a genuine apology, a change in behaviours (James is big on behaviours) and the aggrieved party is also happy then things can move on.

Or they don’t and he goes.

But right now the club and the board have acted in absolutely the right way.
A new hope.

Agree with the poster who thinks the tirade was aimed at Alex Whittle, the more I listen to it. You can hear him say "when he comes in in a minute". I reckon that's worse than kicking off at an opposition bench tbh. It's one thing to be tough and harsh with your players but threatening assault like that plainly isn't acceptable.

David Buchanan seems to be the ex player along with some very uncomplimentary comments from the father of Luke rawson.

Yep I’ve seen them, none are current players though.

The rumour will wont be any good for the players. Presume they cant disclose what he's done or alleged to have done for legal reasons? He wont be the first manager thats doing well in football terms to get the sack. Theres been loads of managers sacked over the years for things like transfer backhanders, betting etc, like george graham a few year ago. Folk need to remember one thing, innocent until proven guilty

If it was aimed at Whittle then the board are duty bound to run an investigation into Rowe's conduct. If my line manager spoke to me like that and it came to the attention of the board I would imagine swift action would be taken.

The board have done the right thing whether it's Whittle or someone else who Rowe had a go at. It's not the sort of behaviour that's acceptable, be it in the world of football or not.

We don't know when the process started, they might not need interviews. I'm speculating they have used suspended instead of dismissed as given he has the right of appeal the dismissal isn't confirmed.

I don't suppose shezza was Mr. Nice Guy, he even called some of us fans nasty names etc. but we didnt give a flying F. Pity he was caught on camera at maidenhead it ought to have remained in the closed dressing room if there was an axe to grind. I felt like biting a few balls off some of the players who under performed that night. I f this is the reason for JR's suspension he should be given a fine and a short ban. we need him here. We've had `5 horrible years of failure, since JR arrived he has brought us off the bottom with over 100pts in just over a year. Gave us the belief back within the Club and the attendances will soon be doubled if we continue to do well. The Trust are working miracles I hope JR hasnt gone a step too far I'll be devastated if we lose him. The fans have suffered enough, dont take that belief away from us.

I heard Shezza call a fan a muppet!

3.5hrs since the announcement perhaps. Wheels didn’t start turning then.

It might be interesting but it doesn't make much sense - he is suspended according to the club - where is the integrity in that from the " trust in the Trust" - and I do - if he is sacked already ?

It does sound like he says Alex but I don’t think it’s Whittle. I think he’ll be talking to Webb there and then you hear a shout of are you still going on? I assume that’s someone off of their bench. Unless he wants to see both down there in a minute.

Most football managers are control freaks underneath it all - Jeez there were chaps managed me in the Sunday league who I would gladly have strangled. So far I haven't seen or heard anything that makes me believe he's so awful. if "I'll bite your nose off" is as bad as it gets then that's nothing! Hell I've been pinned against a dressing room wall by my neck for having a shot when I should have passed - that's bullying!!
The trust appear to have done the right thing - all we can do is wait and see but it is hard to come back from this.

I've been trying to find the names of Maidenhead's coaching staff, physios etc with no luck. None of their players (on the night at least) are called Alex.
