Southend After Rowe

Seems Southend have made a formal approach to take Rowe to replace Phil Brown....never say never in Football but seems a strange swap to make if he went.

I get the impression that Stan Collymore is sticking his oar in down there as Ron Martin tries to hold on as fans, as we saw, protest against him. Maybe Martin is thinking pulling something like this off will get fans back on board and with Collymore they can tempt Rowe. That said it still needs our permission and them to pay us and not sure they have much in terms of funds.

Also at least when Rowe came here there was some optimism as DA & co had gone, the Trust were in and they backed him...is that whats on the table at Southend as well.

I would hope that quite quickly something is put out to say Rowe is staying put and has no interest in the move...the longer it drags on the more CFC fans will get a bit twitchy.

I disagree.

The club has made its position perfectly clear and by that I mean the extensive backing which James Rowe has received and the new contract the board felt they had to offer him.

I would think the Boreham Wood boss would be up for it and easier to get, and a good move by them. In fact if JR went to Southend Garrard could be his replacement?

He'd be bonkers to go there but if they offer him £1k a month or more than he is on now then he will be off. Really hope he stays though.
