I think the quality of the songs was summed up on the opening day when the Chesterfield fans were singing "Oxford's a sh*thole, I want to go home"

I mean, it isnt..... and we were in Abingdon!

What really makes me cringe is the sound of several hundred voices shouting obscenities, then inviting me to stand up for Ernie.
I couldn't care less if obscene is the best they can do, but I hate to hear Ernie remembered in the same way.

I forgot about that one from Wrexham. Absolutely no idea where that came from

He was English, wasn't he. I don't suppose it had anything to do with the poisonous **** ever visiting Chesterfield or Derbyshire for that matter.

Not exactly up to date material, but then it's been 55 years since the world cup win and you english are still banging on about it. Prince Andrew might have been a more topical retort.

They are football chants & it’s always been the same. It’s meant to offend as much as possible. Suck it up or go watch the effing ballet.

I bet you’re the one who starts the Hillsboro or Munich chants as well?

I don't start any offensive chants you chump, I just see no point in wetting my pants over them when its been part of terrace culture for over a century.

I've heard it (Munich) from Bolton fans, but I suppose that's a greater Manchester rivalry thing.

You wear Lonsdale slip-ons. I’ve seen it so don’t even deny it.

A large swathe of Oxford isn’t great but more to the point didn’t they realise they were in Aldershot?

However it is a truly dreadful song. Thankfully hit isn’t just us that sing it.
