Great news - protects him as an asset.

If anyone wants to come and get him in the summer now at least we will have some leverage to get a decent fee.

Word is that Stockport County had put a big (6 Fig) bid in for him last week. There are others in the 1st & 2nd League showing interest so I believe.
At least if he does go, that being dependant I suppose which league Chesterfield are in he could stay, but if he goes then we should get a good deal from it.

Cant see him jumping ship to another NL club which is the only option prior to the summer. Come then if he carries on as he has it may be more of an issue depending on where we find ourselves and who is wanting him.

Since when did Stockport have £££’s to be throwing about!???

Going by this post though, no brainer really and good move from the club. Even if a league 1 side did come in for him, he ain’t gonna go cheap now that we’ve got him tied down for 3 and half years!

Good business again and hope he keeps scoring and we could have our first saleable assets for a while. If he scores the goals that take us up and a silly offer comes in, then its a win win for everyone as long as our scout is looking for a suitable replacement already.
