Bit early for clubs further up the pyramid to be taking a chance on him, hes not actually achieved anything yet, but a good move by the club nonetheless
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+

Not much detail on that ‘report’. Thought he was already on 2.5 years. Don’t see we’d get much in compensation at his level anyway.

Anyone know how much be got for Cook

Maybe Rowe's agent sowing a seed.

Incidentally a click on the reporters name shows he usually reports about Man U

Mmm.
Does he also act for Asante? Is he to be ‘offered improved terms’?

They couldn’t even be bothered to find a pic of him using a generic town match pic instead. Daily Mail is an utter rag...only a couple of weeks ago they were dragging us through the mud!

Don't know, I've always assumed Rowe's agent is his Dad (Ipswich based).

The reporter is the Mail's North West Football one.

More stirring by certain parties?
Edit, or if it is true how did they know?

Well at least Asante won’t be following Rowe to L2 this season :)

Are there that many clubs in league two or one that are as big a sleeping giant as us? We have the stadium, facilities, a decent fanbase, a board that work well with him and he's only really just started his project rebuild here.
I know Ipswich are struggling a bit but if they were to go looking for a manager would they really look at a National League manager? I can't see any club being able to tempt him away right now, not yet.
Plus the fact that leaving two clubs in the space of one year would give out a bad impression of no loyalty in anyway shape or form and no club is gonna want to take a gamble on a manager changing the whole structure of the club to only walk away after so many months.
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

A manager who hasn't achieved anything yet. A massive gamble this side of being successful. Sounds very much like someone with a large gob full of sour grapes stirring it up.

That's exactly what I was thinking. It's got him written all over it.

There's only Colchester in league 2 without a manager atm and Northampton in league 1.

There's some rate uninspiring names on those lists too.
Here we go again!

If he works a miracle this season & gets us promoted, you can guarantee he’ll get offered a 5 year contract (lessons learnt from the Cook debacle)
We have fans in charge of us now & I think JR loves it here & loves the project

Colchester are in free fall. Last win was the beginning of December. They have falled from playoffs to 4th bottom in 3 months. With the bottom 3 picking up, I wouldn't be surprised to see them drop into the bottom 2 soon.

Improved contract? He's been here 3 months and done the job he's paid to do. Let's have the conversation if and when we get promoted.

I agree but am worried about the timing of this story.
